yeah, famous women who do horrible things won’t face any serious consequences for their actions, because they have at least 2 deep layers of privilege going on there = being a woman and being famous. The worst thing that will happen is that she just doesn’t get roles anymore…but even that will only be for a little while. She’ll be back on tv shows and the occasional Lifetime or Oxygen/We made-for-tv movie (the downgrade from the big screen career; this is usually the destination for older, halfway forgotten actresses) eventually.

Therapy is probably something all people in jail should be getting, but we’re not really into the “rehabilitation” thing with the U.S. prison system, with the profit motive attached to it. It’d be like the tobacco industry offering to pay for smoking cessation treatment.
