The HEROES thread

Yeah. This isn’t even a major complaint but rather one of the many stupid things I saw during the course of this show.

I agree, wrist unphased is the first thing I thought off too. Technically he should sink through the floor everytime he uses the ability… but much like every other phaser in comic book universes he doesn’t.

lets not discuss how anyone’s powers are suppose to work. it’s not like you’re going to get any real proof from anywhere.

it’s called “suspension of disbelief”

If Sylar was smart he would have used his tk to flink peter into the building rather than hiro.

The show reminds me of Lost you get more questions than answers in a lot of cases and when it goes off ur just sitting there like what was accomplished. When I saw sylar die i just got that sinking disappointment feeling. I watched this show all this time for that shit. Then the bomb explods in the air ugh. Claire sits and talks with NOAH and it seems she just completely forgot her uncle and dad could be dead. It just doesnt feel right mang. They need better writers or stories next season.

Seemed like Sylar never had Ted’s powers get all random but Peter did? I know its a drama not really about superpowers but that shit is lame. It is just a big tease. Its like putting naked women in a tv show and having them play their parts and act but letting them occasionally fuck each other. finger the cheerleader save the world hurray.

the whole thing was an illusion for everyone.

candice faked everything in the end, so none of that happened.

That’s what i think. I posted that a few pages back.

He stood right outside the door as Isaac painted. That’s how he got Isaac’s power. he came to Claire right as she was finishing her regeneration from Sylar’s toss.

“When the Dragon saw what Kensei was willing to sacrifice for his people (and his love) he was so moved that he replaced Kensei?s heart and breathed fire-life back into the swordsman”

That just about cinches it…

so we’re running on the theory kensei=sulu?

w/e i just wanna see bankai next season lol.

It’s a pretty far fetched theory, but I’m hoping it’s true, because that’s the only thing that would make this time travelling trip not stupid.

He first met Isaac rolling around on the floor of his loft after ODing. No reason to believe his powers were active at the time Simone and Peter walked in the first time Petrelli met the painter. In the middle of episode two Peter is seen in his hospital bed drawing stick figures of the future.

And I don’t believe for one minute that Claire wasn’t finish regenerating.

What, when was it decided that the powers had to be in use for Peter to absorb them??

I know it was mentioned before, but why wasnt the illusionist girl super fat/ugly after she got knocked out by Nikki?

It wasn’t.

It was merely Adam espousing what he thought/thinks is a valid theory, which it mostly is; it just doesn’t account for how the hell people got Ted’s powers when he never used them around him, which is why I put the alternate theory of knowing about a power…though then leaves out Claire (I think).

It could be both, but then that would make Peter extra-broken. :wasted:

There has been no conclusive explanation given.

However, due to my tendency to fill in the gaps of this show (which is why I’m more generous and optimistic about it than I usually am), I would say that her appearance, if illusory, didn’t dissipate because she’s been so hellbent on keeping it up over the years.

I mean, think about it, if Candice had to focus really hard or even consciously to keep up that illusory appearance, then how could she do her other illusions so easily, like flawlessly impersonating Simone or making it impossible for Micah to escape when she was in the other room? I would say that it’s more like a (Lady) Mastermind thing, where the illusions are based more of a type of psychic hypnosis rather than bending light and thus people could still what you want them to see if even you’re unconscious, like when Sage knocked Lady Mastermind the fuck out in X-Treme X-Men–fellow comic readers, please forgive me for referencing this horror–and yet the brickwall in the doorway remained.

…Uh. Just read the first sentence. It’s “valid” enough.

Septmus Prime: I’ll have to see if I can watch Heroes again tonight on Sci-Fi since I seriously don’t remember Hiro running. But, knowing me, you’re probably right.

Because she was just screwing with Micah?

nope. she was skinny, at least from what i remember. But what was cool is i didnt realize she could make more shadow clones? images w/e…like when you saw lil franklin richards(micah) dissapear it was cool.

i think linderman healed her of being fat long ago so made no sense for it to be an illusion by now.

This is also possible, and what I initially thought to be honest given what a(n awesome) bitch she was episodes previous.

There’s nothing to say that she wasn’t uglier earlier in her life or that she hasn’t used the illusory power of Cosmetic Surgery.

Her power is illusion, not cloning, or shapeshifting or anything. She can make you see whatever she wants you to see. If she wanted you to see 100 dead Mycahs then she can do that. If she wanted you to see a rain forest when in-fact you were standing in the middle of a subway she can do that. She manipulates the entire environment not just part of it. (or more specifically manipulates what you see of the environment not the environment itself.)

can the illusions interact with you?..i can’t remember if micah touched her or not.

She can obviously alter your sense of touch to a degree considering that Benett hugged and Micah held her hand and neither of them could tell the difference.

I think that Nikki did kneel down and touch Micah, but I honestly can’t remember.
