I also thought Peter was the only one who could stop sylar. Mainly because of future hiro “there’s only one person who could stop sylar, peter petrelli(sp)” (IIRC)
So anyone think charles (black guy who could see/sense peter) is still alive? I think so. How could you use a power if your dead?
And I think the person molly was really afraid of besides sylar was that one monster drawn.

I doubt it or else Peter is even more broken than he already is, especially since undoubtably has Hiro’s power now that Peter’s met two iterations of Hiro. (I say this because considering that how much damage Hiro does when he can’t completely control his power–especially the teleporting aspect–and he was one of the few who was always willing to have a power just makes me think that Peter with Sylar-Hiro abilities would go Dio on everyone’s ass.)
It’s not like you have to have learn anything to use super strength. Hell, until last episode, all of the times that Nikki used her super strength were purely accidental. It was really nice to see her finally get to do something, though this reminds me…why didn’t we see D.L. get carted away to hospital as well? Or did I just miss something?
Peter sometimes is like that though, most of his powers he obtains them quickly but doesn’t know how to control them. Invisibility, mind reading, painting the future (although it really was stick figures), and healing ability. Some powers took more time to learn like flight and telekinesis. And he hasn’t even stopped time yet. It just depends on what the writers are going for I guess.
And theoretically he should have the power of persuasion too because he ran into Eden in an early episode.
Like I tried to explain before, even Ted had trouble controling his power. I mean shit, he didn’t know about the EMP burst until after Noah told him. Sylar can control it so well because of his natural abilty to just get stuff and fix it (fixing it so it works in his case). Peter doesn’t flow in all his abilities like Sylar can.
And both are right, Peter had to be the one to ‘stop’ Sylar but Hiro had to be the one to kill him.
Well Charles being alive as a ghost makes sense considering that Hana is in cyberspace. The show is probably going to be leaning towards the super natural next season for some stuff.

re-watched the episode, nikki hit sylar with a pipe and didnt go flying, and when peter was punching him, ya here a bunch of loud punch effects too…
He didnt struggle when he dangled like a fuckin idiot and Sylar eat his brain…
Also, i found it funny that Linderman never healed Charles and Charles didnt bring up Peter killing his daughter wtf.

His “first power”(probably one before this) was flying he had no idea his brother could fly untill he jumped off the building and Nathan saved his ass but said he hovered a few inches off the ground and what not before Nathan saved him… Peter is confusing @_@

AW, what do you think? You, yellows4 and noodleman seem to be the only guys who actually have a grasp on what’s really going on in the show most of the time, instead of misunderstanding stuff and making the weirdest theories/plot holes based on those misunderstandings…
Yes, I always drink a massive bottle of Haterade after I watch Heroes, but this one sucked so badly that it even let fans down. As usual, they didn’t explain shit, and they let totally stupid things happen?like Hiro stabbing Sylar the way he did. Or Nathan not flying after Claire’s completely predictable escape. Or the “fight.” How about next time, they don’t waste 10 minutes at the beginning to show the end of the last episode and don’t waste another 5 minutes at the end to show the beginning of the (stupid) next season?which you know they will show again at the beginning of the season?and actually flesh out the rest of the episode?
Ehh, the fight was pretty tame when compared to movie fights or comic book fights, but after 20+ episodes, how could you really expect anything different? The show has always had tame fights… even with future peter/future hiro, they basically cut away from what could have been the coolest way to dispose of 50000 guards ever. Sylar vs. Peter was actually kinda better than I thought it would be. The show must be on a limited budget, yet they have to show a whole bunch of powers. I still think it’s nice that this show which has the nerd stereotype written all over it actually made it big with the mainstream crowd.
Around the halfway point of the episode it hit me that they didn’t close anything up and that I had been watching just another episode in the season. I turned to my friend and said, I bet it will end with yet another to be continued as if the end of the season meant nothing at all. I was right.
I quit this show. Even the big surprise of Hiro being in the 1600’s looks like a load of bullshit. In fact, the only thing I was hoping that would save the show is if the big shadow covering up the sun was just the independence day aliens coming to wreck shit and everyone banded together to have an ultra war. But yeah, it’s not happening. I just wasted a day’s worth of my time watching this show.
Peter vs. Sylar wasn’t even that. The whole time, it’s been, “Peter is the ONLY ONE who can stop Sylar!” Really? Then why did Nikki own him? And why did Hiro “kill” him? Peter didn’t do anything.
THIS was my problem with the fight. If they hadn’t been hyping it to high hell like Peter was gonna have to pull a Neo to beat Sylar and NOBODY else could do it, I wouldn’t have been half as pissed.
But you’re wrong about one thing, Peter put a beatdown on his ass with Niki’s power.
Niki: “You okay…?”
Peter: “Yeah, I’ve got this.” proceeds to beat the fuck outta Sylar until Ted’s shitty power activates
That was retarded too. Sylar clearly had time to get up and kill some people, but he just chilled out, Venom-style, and waited for Peter to walk around, talk for a bit, and take off his jacket.
