these boise I have are starting to make my head ring, I need something smaller but at the same time loud enough to where I don’t have to put it on full blast
Shure Brothers head phones have always been a step above everything else ( imo ) Idk what there like now but the old pair that I have still kick the shit out of everything my friends use.
And I’m visiting this thread because my 2nd pair of Skullcandy earbuds died. I’m not shopping like I’m an audiophile. I like clear sound, bass, a low price, and durability.
I’ve used Sony buds for years, and the only reason I had to buy another is because I lost my old pair. Very durable, except the sound is too muted. I’ve used Shure E2C, and the sound is more robust but weak on bass. And it was just too expensive to ignore my minor complaints about the design (rock-solid earplugs, etc). The Skullcandys were the right price, had good sound and good bass. I had no problem with them… until the wire broke. Twice.
Anyone other cheap brand with bass-heavy earbuds? If Sonys had bass like Skullcandy, I’d just stick with them…
rockin dem sennheisers. hd 280 pro. not the best, but can’t complain. really great headphones imo
I had the 280s until I got rid of my Roland drums and gave them away with it. Decently priced and comfortable with pretty accurate sound.
Just got in another pair of ER6i’s to replace my old ones that I lost and have to say that I still think they’re some of the best ear buds around for $70ish.
Looking for earbuds primarily for running. I’ve gone through three pairs of these:
Amazon.com: Nike HJ030 Vapor Sport Bud headphones: Electronics
Technically, two pairs. I’m on my third now, but the right bud doesn’t work.
The reviews are pretty spot on, they work great for a while, then crap out.
If you’re looking for good running ones you can’ beat these.
MEElectronics M6 Stylish Sound-Isolating Sports Earphones (Clear)
Most comfortable IEM’s I’ve ever tried and the over the ear wire keeps em in place. Plus they sound amazing!!! If you wanted to get something that sounded any better you’d prob need an amp for them and unless you got piles of money you prob won’t like working out and sweating all over $100+ headphones.
awesome. they’re up on amazon for $20, I’ll probably go with these.
thanks!
You def can’t go wrong with them. I buy a lot from that company so you might want to check out their website too. They have them on sale for $20 quite often too, and they ship cheap and fast. Plus if you look around like on facebook or head-fi.org you can find promo codes and shiz. I have a descent headphone collection, and even though these are the cheapest of my collection, you wouldn’t know it by the quality, comfort, and sound of them. I would easily pay $80 for them. They even come with a nice case. And the clear look and shape makes them look like custom iem’s
ok I dont know if you guys have been keeping up with the deals at 1 Sale A Day, Daily Deal but these deals on headphones are godlike. They had a pair of lady gaga earbuds (the heartbeats) on sale the other day and today they have 2 pairs for sale that arent bad. im just waiting for some non-gay headphones to come around so i can scoop em up. the only thing is they dont have headphones on sale every day
I’ve seen a lot of “Skullcandy” headphones around here. Are those any good?
they definitely arent bad but definitely not good for the price. they have a lot of sick colors and a wide selection but they lack in audio quality.
It got those Monster Turbines Ronin recommended. These things are the sickest shit ever.
I want a sub $50 headphone/mic combination for my PC/360. Anyone know much about that area?
You’re probably looking at the turtle beach headphones you find at the store in the xbox isle. Those are really just normal stereo headphones with a mic, and a ton of adapters for it to work with the xbox. Technically would work with the PS3 too, but the mic wouldnt unless you get a stereo to USB mic adapter online.
Off note:
I’m getting a new pair of Corsair HS1NA’s from amazon later today in the mail. I’ll see how they go compared to my Medusa NX 5.1’s.
hey im looking for ways to get game sound to come out of a pair of headphones and the speakers built-in/pluged into the screen. the only solution ive heard so far is that the PS3 can output audio from hdmi and vga so with certain cables you can use both plugs and achieve sound from the speakers and headphones.
does anyone have any other insight on this? im looking for solutions that will work on both ps3 and 360 and they will often be running through HDMI on a evo monitor or similar set ups.
Edit: also if there is a more appropriate thread i should be asking in a link would be great.
Recently picked up some Sennheiser HD 280 pros. Originally, I was going to cop me some Dre beats but you know what? Screw them. These HD’s are worth every damn dollar coming off my first impressions. Not only were they cheaper, but the bass on these are just too amazing for words to describe. Dre’s are good headphones, but in the long run I heard they teem to wear out after a while.
True, but beats is even worse.
I use hd280 pros for PC gaming, etymotic er4-p for on the go, and grado ps1000 for music at home. Can’t complain about any of them.
VGA is strictly a video signal. The PS3 can output audio via HDMI, optical, or the composite/component cables, you can select it in the menu.
For what you want your best bet is a receiver, run it through there over HDMI and then push the audio out of a headphone jack and the HDMI jack. I run all my devices through a Denon receiver and do it off that.
