And out of curiousness, what does Hajime no Ippo mean?
8 DVDs for 75 episodes makes me think Bootleg, but I’m not positive.
Also, I believe Hajime No Ippo means something along the lines of “The First Step.”
How many episodes are they at after the first 75? I wanted to wait a while before I started watching more so I could just go all out one day that I have nothing to do.
There are 26 episodes of Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger.
I really want them to make a new season. I wanna see Ippo vs. Sawamura animated. If they gave it the movie treatment and looked as good as Ippo Dempsey Rolling Sendo I’ll be all over it.
Also this has been on my mind but right before Sawamura what was the name of the fighter Ippo fought? He is a short fisherman who can trade blows with Ippo. I just can’t remember his name for some reason.

@Wolfkiller: there are 15 DVDs in the official Geneon set. It sounds like the seller’s selling bootleg copies.
you can start watching without a second thought considering no one knows whenever we get a continuation.
there are 76 episodes of the first season. (last episode is a special) followed by the movie champions road and the ova mashiba vs kimura. new challenger with 26 episodes comes afterwards.

mmm no those are not original. like king999 said. there are 15 dvd’s in the box set. the episode guide lets me conclude that this are the infusen subs.
The seller claims these are Japanese import DVDs that come straight from the factory, sealed. However, I find it hard to believe Japanese DVDs would be region 0. Sigh, thanks for the help. Gimme a heads up if you guys that don’t want the DVD set find one!
