I’ve seen this hyped on here for awhile now and thanks to the Fullmetal Alchemist thread I learned about one-manga, so I started reading it the other night and I’m hooked! Only on chapter 10 so far but this is good stuff!
I wish we could get some news about the next “season”. I want an episode every week until they finish the goddamn series goddammit.
I’ve also been waiting on the HnI anime to start up again.
At least the good thing about the long wait is they have a ton of material to toss into the new season.

Another somewhat racist remark was in Eyeshield 21 when it was Team Japan vs Team America. There was a running back called “The Black Panther” and yes he was black. So one guy from the Japanese team said
“This is a black man’s natural running talent” or something of that nature. I was like crazy.

Is the anime no longer being sold? I looked up HnI on amazon and got some “Fighting Spirit” dvds but they were all discontinued and only sold from private sellers.
yeah, it’s pretty hard to get the dvd’s now. they sold pretty badly in america. the first dvd was the best selling at only ~5,000 units :bluu:
i was lucky enough to get them all in a box set from ebay 2 years ago.
the original distributor closed down.

I wonder if New Challenger would be picked up for release here in the US. If that were to happen I think that they cpuld at least re-release the first series of Ippo on boxsets.
Same thing happened to me. Now that I know a little something about the sport, I feel like watching real boxing. When I knew nothing about it, I wasn’t interested at all in Ippo or boxing.
