Bryan Hawk - Prince Naseem who I only know because he had this game on the PSX

Beyond that, I’m clueless.

Morikawa has said that he based Martinez on this guy Ricardo Lopez or something, cant remember exactly. Anyway Lopez had the same kind of badass yet totally chill attitude.

Date is based on a Japanese boxer from the same class who I cant really remember.

Sendo is Rocky Marciano + Donovan Razor Ruddock (Razor created the Smash and came VERY close to beating Tyson 2 times)

Itagaki is based on De La Hoya

Kimura may be based on Fearless Freddie Pendelton

I think they need to make an incredibly talented fat guy based off James Toney next.

Eliki Battery is based on a battery and Papaya Daichu is based on a racial stereotype. =)

Daichu is the best lightweight guy in HnI All Stars besides Broccoman though, Coconut Punch FTW.

I always assumed Martinez was based on Julio Jesar Chavez since Chavez had that huge winning streak. I’ve also seen people say Miyata is pretty close to Sugar Ray Leonard.
