Ippo is actually supposed to be one of the smarter boxers which is why he’s powerful blows are so dangerous. He’s not like Sendo where he just goes nuts on you. Should have been proof when he figured out how to dempsy roll people’s asses especially if you read the manga and is up to date. He’s always trying to figure out new shit, but it’s been awhile now that he hasn’t grown and gotten new shit, but that’s to be expected since he’s hit a peak. Japanese champion isn’t supposed to be a small title.

Yeah, the two OVA episodes did nothing but make me cry. It’s like giving me a steak and telling me I have to die of starvation after I finish. When you think about it, Fighting Spirit ended with two OVA’s too… hmm.
