This anime is one of the best of all time, PERIOD. 2nd season will be hot. I havenāt seen a request for a 2nd season of an anime like this before. It even had a petitionā¦

Iām just wondering why it took Mad House over 5 years to get this back on the air. American response to this anime can only be rivaled by Naruto, but that animeās for emo kids who plot to kill their siblings, whine about vengeance, so on and so forth.
Are you sure about this? I wouldāve thought that the reason that it took Madhouse this long to revive HnI was because of a lack of popularity.
actually itās 7 years since the last ova came out and quite frankly i donāt think petition had anything to do that a second season is now aired either.
the american response on ippo was bad when it aired. dvd sales of the series did not break even. (only 5000 dvdās sold) blame the lack of marketing and the negative appeal that a āsportsā anime has on the mainstream audience.
letās hope this will change with the new season.

Can you imagine that youāre only scratching the surface of this manga? Itās going to be a great read, very true, but youāre gonna need some free time. I started reading this manga in 2006, and seriously, I stayed up all night reading all 700 chapters. It took more than 12 hours.
Speaking of which does anyone know how long this season is going to be? 75 episodes like the last one? Because Iām wondering if the Mashiba vs. Sawamura(?) fight is going to be in there.

Dubs or subs? Dubbing is voice overs, which probably wonāt happen because the anime got released, and second, american dubbing sucks most of the time.

no information how many ep. rumor has it 90 ep but if you ask me that is bullshit.
as for the subs. you gotta give it a little while, it just aired. besides, despite how much we all love the series, it doesnāt have the fan following that makes for a near immediate release.

I would definitely love to catch up to the manga, but I got nooo time for it. Thatās why Iām banking on the anime to catch up me on speed. They usually cover multiple chapters per ep.
to be fair americans have gotten this box set mentality now. Thats why u see alot of box sets outā¦which is also a big part to combat piracy since their thin boxsets now which are alot cheaper. As well as geneon refused to make a boxset for ippo. I honestly was waiting for a box set. I still want a box set.
