I don’t think Itagaki is going to lose. He needs to be bred to potentially take on Ippo in the next five years. I’m not expecting the Kamogawa gym to lose at all in this tourney. I don’t think Aoki or Kimura will retire, and it seems like that would be the result if either of them lost. After that big plot reveal about Aoki closing his eyes, I think it would be funny if he won his match in a landslide.

I hear it’s actually a big advantage in boxing. Except for Saeki. He can’t trust his eyes now that Itagaki has mastered Speed force lvl. 2.

About Itagaki, I’m with those who want him to lose to Saeki (even through it seems pretty clear that he won’t). After following the series for so long, it’s upsetting to see how far Itagaki’s rising through pure talent instead of hard work. Beating a veteran like Saeki WHILE trying to outdo Ippo’s KO time just seems so wrongo_O. No doubt the author’s building him up for a reason, though. He’ll probably be humbled soon enough8-)
