I think this would create some great development if Mori goes this direction.

In anime form Ippoās matches donāt look as shitty. In manga form outside of 2 or so matches they are all slogging garbage.

In anime form Iād imagine this chapter would be sandwiched by the one before and after into a single episode, if not the two before. This would virtually amount to a pre-match episode trolling as a legit in-match episode.

How would everyone feel if Ippo rushed in, dodged one punch, and just landed the biggest right hook to be seen in the series and walk away like a boss?
I think everyone would be all for it. People made bullshit excuses about Woli, that some guy in this 4th fight is just so supremely talented and thatās why Ippo looked like an amateur. Well that talent argument for Woli falls apart if Ippo goes out there and just keeps doing the same garbage.
Ippo should be rolling on everyone now until he starts getting to the top 3-4 guys in the world rankings. He should pretty much be Takamura at the start of the manga. Meanwhile Takamura should be having tight, contested matches against the top guys since heās at that level. Itagaki should be more in the growth phase Ippo was in.
Ippo is a 20 match veteran, or arounds there. Heās no longer the fresh faced rookie with potential. He should be hitting his prime and start getting mentioned as one of the worldās best. Heās supposed to be well beyond the Japanese level now, and really should be giving up the belt after this match because it should be too far below him. That will set up a nice tourney for Itagaki and a run for him as champion. Itagaki really should be the main character now, Ippo and Takamura should pretty much both be just OPed side characters.
I still have hope that Miyata would take on Ippo. He seems like he has the right strategy to just nullify everything Ippo does. Hisato thinks he has Ippoās weakness down but heāll just get his head ripped off soon. Ippo really needs to fight people that could just pick him apart so he can see how crappy his style is. I mean he got his shit pushed in by Ricardo in a sparring match but if Miyata did fight Ippo instead of RBJ, that probably wouldve happend.
How can he even lose at this point. Woli beat him every which way possible and still couldnāt even get a knockdown, and wound up eventually losing. Ippoās plot armor is too thick. It is nonsense. Even when you counter his Dempsey Roll, which was supposed to kill him, that still didnāt get a knockdown iirc. Volg got the KO but Sawamura didnāt I think.
At this point I think it will take a Jolt Counter to the Dempsey to even get a knockdown. To get a KO, it probably has to be a counter shin-shoryuken.
Iāld say Sendo sure looks a lot like Ippo in this chapterā¦ :unsure: wait a minute!
however, if he managed a counter with the start up of his Dempseyā¦ and just didnāt follow throughā¦ it would be telling that his foe is way beneath his level. Assuming this is still virtually a no look round for Ippo, his opponent and notable spectators would be quite impressed.
Iāld like to see him take a liver blow on his way down though so his mouth piece comes out rather bloodied. ippo doesnāt want to end it to end it quick.
