its definitely lp… i checked the frame data… it seems if the opponent is too far only the last active frame of houzanto will hit since the range is more on the last one… and since this takes 2 more frames the mp->lp.houzanto combo will not work…

Abel can escape an OS U2 with a backdash, correct? And what exactly are the inputs for an OS U2?

Well the OS can be done in the corner which nullifies the backdash option. I can’t remember the inputs… I’m pretty sure K1 would know since he fights Juicebox lately.

I’m thinking the inputs would just be: Neutral Jump >> double HCB >> 3P. But that seems to easy…and…wrong.

Abel’s backdash beats NJ safejump option select. There is something that ive been wanting to try though that i know cammy can do. it might not be possible due to the time it takes to input the U2 option select. Cammy is able to safejump and input multiple OS’s, that go in order of priority. Im certain i have seen this talked about on the cammy boards and how people implement it. She can safejump OS crouch tech AND OS a spiral arrow at the same time to catch backdashes. im not positive of the inputs, but it may be possible to do the same thing with Guy’s U2 vs Abel so that if he tries to roll or throw out a move or block, the U2 catches him, if he tries to backdash, he gets caught with a lk tatsu or slide. Something that might be worth testing Guys

Do you have an idea of what the input would be for Guy’s OS U2?

for just a regular safejump OS u2 ? i do it plain and simple, nj.mk > immediately hcb x2 PPP. you just needa do it fast.

basically im buffering the HCB x2 before i even fully let go of mk

honestly im not sure if that would work…i dont think it would work though because after your aerial (nj.mk) what your inputs are dictating is that you OS a EX Hozanto ( hcb ppp = EX hozanto ). It MIGHT work if you do it really fast, but i dont think so honestly. im pretty sure the computer would read it like this:

neutral jump >> hcb >> mk (equals just a nj medium kick + no OS when landed. HCB + k in the air doesnt command anything other than nj.mk)

>> hcb >> PPP (OS’ed EX Hozanto)

Well I’ve been trying to armor cancel his ultra 2, but I can never get it.
I can cancel his first one, but that seems pointless.

How exactly do I cancel the ultra 2?

Do I half circle, quarter circle, half circle? Just like, uber fast?

but how do you run/stop/cancel with Guy? I’ve been watching videos of people doing such a thing where the mix up their blockstrings with a run/stop.

same way you do TC > hozanto, but you do run stop instead

Umm… EX tatsu does not need to be done in advance there is a certain timing to get all 3-4 hits since he’s only has invinc frames during start up.

But Solid Anti Air… TK Izuna… especially EX

When it comes to normal, cr mk works like a charm. Cr mp works as well… and RH tatsu can be used. but that has to be done earlier.

if you’re trading with EX hurricane… your timing it wrong. you’re most likely doing it way too early if it’s trading. you actually don’t need to do it in advance to work… you can hit jump ins really deep with it, but EX hurricane one startup should never be trading with anything, ever.

as far as other anti airs… they’re all character specific, but cr. strong, cr. forward and st. rh all work. for the character specific stuff you’ll have to go through the matchup thread to find those out… but off the top of my head… cr. strong works on all of cody’s jump ins and all of hondas and cammy’s. cr. forward will work on all of dudley’s jump ins except dudley’s j. short. some one like ryu… it’s a toss up on anti airs against him. cr. forward will beat his j. rh and j. forward… but ryu’s j. fierce will beat out guy’s cr. forward. when it comes to ryu, if you want to be safe… you’ll have to burn the meter for EX hurricane… or TK EX izuna(guy’s air throw, input is d, df, f, uf+PP). if ryu is jumping in from a good distance… most likely they’ll be jumping in with j. forward or j. rh… so cr. forward is fine there. if he jumps in from pretty close… i’d burn the meter for EX hurricane/TK EX izuna.

so guy’s anti airs are

cr. strong(character specific)
cr. forward(character specific)
EX hurricane
TK EX izuna
st. rh-this one’s weird as i haven’t found a character that it beats out reliably when they jump in… so i’d stick with the others. but it works great against adon’s jaguar tooth, but you can always TK EX izuna that too… especially if you want to be flashy.
