Way too little footage to tell. All that person did was cr.RH Sonic boom and that’s a no no…still looks like a no no.
We’ll know soon enough, but it’s not gonna come from that vid.
Thanks for posting that though. I haven’t seen that one yet

**Looks like Guile still can’t combo off of cr.HP into FK or SB, & cr.RH is still as stupid as ever
It depends on the changes to Hit-Box, frames On-Block, On-Hit, and Push Back.
I wrote about classic SFII Guile vs changes throughout the series & his SFII cr.RK’s first hit could not be countered,
nor could he be punished so severely after the 2nd hit due to the push back On-Block.
In fact cr.RH gave Guile great spacing & charge time to counter with SB,FK, s.LP, & his other great normals.
I still don’t understand why Capcom decided to merge Guile & Charlie into one character
**
Because two is always better than one lol.
if you check the life bar, it seems like now he does more damage, I might be wrong, the mp in the air takes off a good amount of health.
**
Yea it did!
Unfortunately, is was a counter-hit. Those cr.RH’s that took off a chunk of Cody’s life were also counter-hits. I’m hoping they haven’t started balancing yet until all the characters are in.
The SSF4 NEW INFO thread says they’re adjusting characters as they are being inserted into the game. They explained how Adon was coded and tested by himself to test out his playstyle first. Then they put Adon with the rest of the cast & started adjusting more stuff.
**
We also don’t know the stun/life of Cody, so we can’t particularly say anything about that either.
yea, But check also the amount of health cody takes of from him, on the grab it seems less. ALSO look at his biceps, they seem to have grown 2 inches. LOL. maybe he has been working out to make his c.hp deal more damage.
would you guys be happy if the only thing that gets changed for guile is his strength?
Need help for he move in this video

towards the end of the clip, Sagat use low tiger shot, and guile just use back dash to avoid it, is it possible in real time battle?
Sort of. If he notices that you like to do that, all he needs to do is his f.lk or a dash forward. It works in that video because guile doesn’t actually move back with his backdash.
Neat video, but aside from a couple interesting points, (nj.lp beats elbow clean, el oh el.) most of that stuff qon’t really help much against a knowledgable sagat. While knowing you can punish high tigers up close with an array of things and you can reversal super his s.hk is useful, good sagats really don’t do those things. It will definately help you beast on scrubs or mid-level sagats though. If your at that range against sagat, great players will just push you back out with s.lk xx low tiger, or a safe tiger knee.
Still, good stuff ying. Thanks for posting.

Alright fellow followers of Guile! Here are two videos of me playing Balrog! This is the very first time I’ve ever recorded matches and this is also the first SF game I’ve ever played so I know there is a lot I still have to learn. Please check out these vids and let me know what you think I should do better. I’m really anxious to see what you guys think becasue I know there is a lot of knowledge on these boards. And please don’t spare my feelings when telling me what I need to do better. Enjoy guys.
Alright AEROPLANE, let me start off by saying that from what I can see, you have a solid Guile. I think you have a good concept of how to play him. I watched your vid twice and I think the only time you got in trouble was when you were not respecting the distance between you and Ken. What I mean is that you could’ve zoned him out a little better. The first match 3 round was a great blue print for how to beat that Ken because you did a great job of keeping him out in that round and as a result you won pretty easily. Also there was a few times in a couple of the round where Ken did his hurricane kick and I think 1 time you jumped over it and the other time you punished with a boom. I suggest that you do a C.FP underneath it instead. It’s a much better way to punish hurricane kicks by shoto character. There were a couple of other things too but I’ll put it in a list to make it easier to read/understand instead of rambling.
So in a nut shell
-Zone Ken and don’t let him get in on you. If Ken get up clos on Guile then you are a clear disadvantage. (you did a good job of this in the 3rd round of the first match)
-You should try to cut of some of your block string early and walk up for a grab. This will get him worried about the grab and play a mind game with him (For instance after a blocked C.LK>>C.LP>>Grab…) Dont do this tooo much though just mix it in here and there.
-Punish Ken’s random hurricane kicks with a crouching fierce punch instead of avoiding it or shooting a sonic boom at it.
Also one thing I noticed about that Ken player is that he was a rabbit, and by that I mean he likes to jump in a lot. Guile has the tools to combat this and I’m pretty sure you have a good idea of Guiles anti airs (S.MK, S.FP, C.FP) so use them to make him keep his feet on the ground so he will be uncofortable. Other than that I think you did pretty damn good.
nice guile dude. to be perfectly honest i wouldn’t have played much differently. i personally would take more risks but that’s just preference.
add someting to it . you couldhave thrown those air tatsu :). as someone already said few random flash kick would also work to keep him shut.
HI Aeroplane
Watch u vid, well the Ken you are playing is like one of those that I play everyday
1)Some how, when ken jump over u fail to block and end up eating lots of small punch and 7 hit combo
2)The ken you playing like poke->cr.mk ->fireball,one of ken player habit, punish them with Ex FK or FK(trade) or Ultra them, it is possible to ultra them, when the fireball is near you (in your face) input the ultra command, thier recovery frame is slow, you will hit them
3)cr.mp to counter ken poke kick, if the distance is good, u get counter hit,you will piss them off with cr.mp,cr.mk,force them to jump
Hi SonicFlash122
You are very lucky with this Barlog, most of time I ended up with half blood gone within 10 sec,if I make a mistake to allow them to jump
j.hk->cr.lp->over head punch->cr.mp->head butt->ultra
The Barlog you fought with, don’t seem to link the overhead punch with cr.mp->head butt
Your guile used to much of the cr.hk, can get punish by them
and when in corner, you tend to sonic boom.and get head butt
Don’t do anything at the corner, once in a while cr.lp,s.hp, turtle back, they will dash in with a slam or over head punch, that’s your chance when they try to over head punch you
try to use more s.hpX2 or s.hpX3 to fool them, after the 2nd s.hp, try to move back a step, to get yourself out of head butt range and sonic boom and see what they do next
You seem to be able to predict the Ex-overhead punch well, instead of blocking up, try to punish them, Ex fk or Ultra or cr.mp->fk
You can try to focus dash or dash forward, cr.mk->f.mp->cr.mk, cr.mk->f.mp is a standard move, but the 3rd cr.mk is a surprise to them, u will get them 99%, there is no 3 hit combo, but some how I have tested it many time, they will get it by the 2nd cr.mk,if they get used to the cr.mk->f.mp, when they block the f.mp, go for slam, you will be surprised by the range of the slam
Cheers
