No I’m afraid not. Though I do use Chun in multiple games, I’m pretty bad with her in SF4. I think you’re thinking about a player from the NY/Conneticut (sp?) area named Bahn. We’re not the same person nor are we associated in anyway. In either case, I usually don’t play online at all. I find it a little boring and irritating as well, and locks me into some really bad habits (as if I don’t have a lot on my own). In SF4 I almost exclusively use Guile and no one else. Maybe we’ll get to play, do you attend many Tennesee tournaments?
No, I haven’t played in any tournaments. It’s something I really want to start doing though. It looks like you live relatively close to Tennessee. How often and where are these Tennessee tournaments?
Well I haven’t been attending any tournaments outside of my local area. I hope to start though. I got a new job a few months ago, which grants me a little more flexibility. I am definitely going to try to make it to some Tennesee tournaments before Final Round.
Hi guys
Got some video footage of me. Criticisms welcome.

Sorry for the not-so-good quality; it’s after-effect of compression. Otherwise, it takes an hour to upload each video. Also, still figuring out best settings for my camera and sound - so don’t expect any music/sound.
You did well in these matches, but honestly the comp was all garbage. That first Akuma literally just stood in the corner and took 5 hits trying to mash out his Ultra! Quick message to all those opponents: pushing the stick/pad in the opposite direction your character is facing causes you to “block.”
Show us some matches of you getting your ass beat and we can help you out!
LOL I thought as much! Don’t worry, plenty of losses will come soon. Sometimes i run into a series of not-so-good players; other times I get a series of ass-whoopings.
Here’s a close one between ryu. I made a big mistake at the end cus I thought he was going to ultra. It’ll make more sense when you see it:

Looking back on it, I made quite a few mistakes in that last round!
OK, yeah. Now this I can work with. This guy is OK, I guess, but he is definitely jump happy; a prime candidate for my patented “crouch there and stare at him until he jumps at you” strategy. At the end of round 1, he was hopping like a bunny back and forth over your head; begging for a c.HP during any of them. One thing I like to do which usually works if they’re kind of crap is this: sometimes, when you’re trying to bait a jump, they’re trying to bait a boom TO jump over. So I throw out a jab, they twitch and jump into a c.HP. Play with that if you feel their skills are questionable.
As for the Ultra at the end, if you thought he was going to do it from that range, you still had time to jump after the freeze screen. Unless you’re in the middle of an animation, you can stand right next to him and if you hold up or up/toward at the freeze, it will miss. So when you anticipate random wakeup Ultra, don’t jump the gun - you have time.
It seems like you use Cr.HK alot. But overall what the above post said. Hate ryu matchup so much…
It would have worked at that range? I ask because I tried that on sagat but he always hits me. But, that;s probably because it was against sagat. I’ll deffo start using it more on ryu then.
Yeah, I started to panic - I had so little hp left and thought: Oh crap - 1 move (blocked or full) and I’m dead.
Thanks for the tip - I always thought if I did that, he’d catch me as I jumped. At least now I know not to panic at those moments.
Lol yeah, it’s a bad habit I’ve been trying to tone down. A lot of it is still muscle memory, but I’m slowly getting used to not relying on it so much - it usually works against me.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I’ll probably put some more vids up this weekend.

05:45 vs. balrog <–ahh just super the blocked dash punch!!!
solid guile, he’s good on those tech throws.
Looks to me like his name is Tekeretsu. Really solid defense - easily one of the best turtle Guile’s I’ve seen. He missed a few good punish openings though.
Regarding his Boxer matches, what do you guys use as a punish for a blocked swing punch? I’m using s.lp sb at the moment.
If it’s an EX overhead, be careful trying to punish it. He can EX headbutt through whatever attack you stick out. CSB’s balrog used to get me with this one sometimes. Regular overhead, yeah, s.jab to whatever.
(Watching the first match, will edit later when I’ve seen the rest cause some are failing to load)
Damn, this guy is not afraid to max range lk fk.
Out of all the Japanese Guiles I have Seen, Yoshiwo appears to be more reserved or conservative compared to Matsu, and Tekeretsu and the guy referred to as “NO NAME”. But yeah Tekeretsu is very solid in his defense.
NO NAME is Fujisawa as far as I know. There’s one other dude too; short name… Ueda maybe.
Oh, on the Tekeretsu (should call him the fucking ROCK) defence subject, his style really helped my Ryu game. All night I’ve been really focussed on teching throws and blocking hard; Guile’s a tank.
Very entertaining to watch. don’t know Japanese so don’t know why there are no full screen.

Love the airthrow mastery in the Rufus match!
Fujisawa is really on point with those airthrows. OjisanBoy is 300k+ bp, pretty insane.
lol he made that rufus look like an idiot.
i need to go into training mode to work out how hard it is to air throw ex messiah…i bet that it’s harder than fujisawa made it look
p.s can someone explain to me why i don’t get the option to watch the nicovidoes? do i need to subscribe or something? if yes, how?
