naw, its always better to link into strong. And doing 4 normals before fk will push your opponent to the 70 dmg fk range, so youre better off doing 3.

I call him face because he uses ( ^ - ^ ) as his name on his arcade card. He’s been impressive for a while now but I think he’s getting a lot better. He uses FA quite a bit for wake up mind games and I haven’t seen anyone air throw more than he does to great effect. Yoshio and ‘face’ both lost to the same people 2 weeks in a row. Yoshio seems to be a bit too conservative. ‘face’ gets a lot of mileage out of random, unsafe fk’s, but they seem to be working for him right now. Yoshio rarely takes those risks and really struggles where we know Guile is weak. It seems when ‘face’ is put into the same position, he takes a risk to get out and reset the space, as oppose to Yoshio usually just trying to block his way through it.
From what I gathered by viewing Sabin’s thread is that if a player is inactive they will automatically start losing BP and ranking. If anything else, there rank will drop. I think the only exception is when you reach grandmaster, then the ranking is fixed, but your BP will drop due to inactivity. This appears to be more so the case with Yoshio. I don’t think he’s losing, I just don’t think he’s playing all that much.
Makes sense. I feel for Yoshio though, even I get frustrated when I watch his matches. Like after being knocked down against Gief or Abel, or Rufus doing repeated dive kicks, its tough to get out of that situation.
I’m pretty sure “face” is Fujisawa. Search him under youtube and you’ll find that “face” has a pretty similair style… pretty sure it’s the same person. [media=youtube]_1jpH07LYcY[/media] (AWESOME last round)
It’s amazing how much space he’s willing to give up. It really baffles me. He’ll have the opponent cornered and not even try to keep him trapped there. Just keep on jumping back or walking back then booming occaisionally. Very runaway style. Kind of interesting considering how well he does. He’s certainly no slouch execution wise either as per the video above.

It looks like he was using a different card back then, but I found him this recently and it lists him as Fujisawa, like you said, with an aka of ‘niconico mark’

This guile was desperately trying to get inside and turn it on, but the first round the akuma was playing super defensive with the air fireballs. In the second round akuma went on the offensive and was losing out to guile but made a comeback anyway. This match is 6-4 in Akuma’s favor imo.

I’ve noticed that you’re using j.lk, c.lk …, you need to land the j.lk pretty deep to have the c.lk connect as a 2nd hit to the combo - probably a problem with the time it takes the cr.lk to come out. Alternatively, if you j.lk, cr.lp, cr.lp,… that seems to connect more consistently as the cr.lp comes out faster than the cr.lk.
I could be wrong, but it’s just an observation I made.

I don’t know about the frame data but for me this is also true. I began trying the c.lk and somehow ended up using c.lp more often. Probably because I got more confidant with it comboing.
Warack is probably the best Guile I’ve seen and/or encountered on xbox live. His current reply from champ mode is pretty telling. His air throws are swift and he lands that cross up jump light kick, cr lk, cr lp, cr mp, flash kick combo.
I’m pretty sure it was Warack who landed a jump in combo linked to the sonic flash on me back when we were in G2. Intimidating stuff. 1st time I seen that.
I’d have to say, I’m pretty confident whenever I face another Guile in G1, but Warack has always had my number. Guile mirror matches are really tough.
c.lk and c.lp both have a 4 frame startup. Just looks slower with his big stupid boot.

Ridiculous. But, did you notice the answer for an EX Hazan Shuu? s.mk - I think that’s a winner.
You can hit hazan shu with anything before it makes contact with the ground. I use c.strong most of the time because of the amount of active frames on it. You can use whatever you want though, even crouching kicks knocks her out of it. That was just a poorly placed hazan shu. The ones that are hard to counter have a FB in front of it. Another random bit of info is guile’s b+roundhouse kick(close) will make the hazan shu completely wiff.
