Sephiroth or no Sephiroth, the translation of that game was shambolic, and frankly, some areas looked unfinished. The game is absurdly easy as well, so you’re left now with a dreadful looking world map, hours of grinding against the same old lame enemies, and fmv everyone’s already seen a gazillion times. May as well just youtube it or use save states. If you want deep involving gameplay and re-playability every few years on PS1, go for FFT, VS or even NI’s early game, Rhapsody (well, set to hard).
Funny how many people you see in the FGC who claim FFVII is their all time fave game EVAR… why not pick an actual fighter?

I had the Underwater materia. I assumed this was a given seeing how it eliminates the 20 minute time limit I can’t meet with Knights/Mime.
And Knights wasn’t exactly tough to find: obvious cave that only gold chocobo can reach? Gee I wonder if there’s some kind of ultimate thing in plain sight there.

FF7 is over hyped, not over rated. There’s a difference like already stated. Im not a FF7 fanboy btw. Still waiting for some real complaints. 1 person said the materia system was too complex even though it isnt and all the characters are the same

Why does RPG talk always lead to FF7? Its a good game, but it gets a lot more attention (positive and negative) than it deserves.

FF7 is very easy to rush through considering its incredibly linear and the game pretty much bolds in flashing blue where to go.
its not easy to rush through while beating the weapons and getting a gold chocobo/doing side stuff.
It is easy to do that.
