That wasn’t the reason tho. It just costs extra for more reaction buttons.
It was one of the names of the “Dislike” button. The like and dislike ones used to change names every once in a while.
We used to have legit pages instead of this crap. 10k post cap isn’t exactly annoying tbh. It used to be 5k right after the move. 
It was very real. Community pulled through and the owners wound up just changing the forum software for a cheaper one.
SRK Asylum.
Biggest problem of that time was how quickly the community splintered.
We made that Zetaboards forum, Frost just tried to gather everyone in his server, some of the GD crew made SRK2, and God knows how many other Discords and servers were made at the time.
That was legit crazy.
Community pulled through, but a lot of people left during that time. Current SRK is just a shell of the old one.

That was a pretty crazy time to be lurking. It was like watching a finale of a (at times, trashy) tv show where characters leave and the story comes to a close.

What really died are the character sub sections.
I guess SFV just does not have enough tech for people to constantly post and share information. Shell of a forum for a shell of a game, i suppose it fits.
Regardless, i hope the forum grows more when SF 6 is announced.It’s going to be hopefully an interesting time.

Honeslty, had they looked into a Discourse before the announcement, and announced it as a restructuring instead, it may have even brought in more people.
Oh well, I’m just happy it’s still up.

I joined in it, was ok-ish but i just prefer the forum format more and i quit it for good.

Asylum was the original name. We changed it to Warriors later on.

These were already mostly dead to begin with.
Some of the few GD threads I posted in kinda died on impact and the NBA thread is pretty much dead too.
But that wasn’t the original plan. SRK really was on the chopping block.
I blame the front page being absolutely ass to the point Eventhubs dunked on it consistently. Pertho knows better about it tho.

In the case of this site, maybe.
But on the last iteration we had, an user Matriarch, got really butthurt about getting disliked every time when she was disliked.
She complained about it and got it removed on the pretense of harrasment.
TBF, iirc there were some dude or dudes giving her shit.
But most of the dislikes were because she simply went posting dumb shit.

From my recollection 90% of her dislikes were deserved. Glad she is gone.
No I know. They gave up on it. The backlash caused them to find another alternative.

I only had one before the move and the dude responsible got banned on the same week.

I try to stay active on SRK2 aka Megashock for this reason. Most people have fallen off Million X and Dangerous J keep that place going IMO.
