FWIW, I beat DOOM Eternal last night and it’s fantastic. I’m going to run through it a few times.
It’s a great single player FPS - if you’re into the classic, run around and blow shit up with massive, unrealistic weapons thing.
It is very fast-paced and forces you to change your weapons and strategies (you can’t just stand back with a rocket launcher for ten minutes), and because of that it’s truly an adrenaline pumping experience.
It has some flaws, but it’s my favourite FPS campaign in a long time. Better than 2016 IMO.
This is the situation.
1: Man I hate SFV, what a fucking game, this is no fun at all.
2: Then why are you playing it, there are so many good alternatives.
1: But I like SF, thats the only option
2: 30th anniversary? Fightcade? 3S online Edition?
1: Nah dude I like SFV.
2: Wat?!
2minutes later
1: Man fuck SFV, this game sucks.
2: Play something else.
1: But thats the only game that has the Capcom Logo on startup.
2: What the hell is wrong with you?
1: I like SFV.
2: …
Honestly I don’t know how far I got I always get bored and quit. I’ve tried to play through it like 5 times because it should be something I like.
I just don’t.
It doesn’t scratch the dark souls or Ninja Gaiden itch at all for me.
I honestly don’t even really know why. I think it’s because the game is really pretending to be an action game. The game values stats and loot much more than player action.
I like to look at the evolution of graphics in video games through the years and i stumbled upon Driver 2.
That game really pushed the PS 1 to it’s limits didn’t it ? Open world, can get out of the car, multiple cars to chose from. It was 3D Gta before GTA 3
