I literally started drawing this from 1 am and lost sense of time until 5 am yesterday… I should pick my drawing times better
Just pick (apparent) low tier Drakkon and all 3 will be done within one hour of lab time.
Punk is Playing Infexious at some event on Daigo’s channel
I will say that while DBFZ has mechanics I don’t like (mainly Super Dash), it is more exciting (and fun) to play. I should mention I haven’t played a real match yet, but BFTG wasn’t much fun against the AI but was against people, but DBFZ was still more fun against the AI.
It does seem easier to do decent combos in DBFZ though, and I haven’t learned shit in BFTG yet so that could be it.
On paper, I do like BFTG more though so I’ll definitely lab some decent combos to see how much that’ll improve things for me.
It’s easier to do shit in DBFZ because ToD’s are not the name of the game. Combos are more about building meter and resources (especially now with the EX change) than they are to kill someone unless they’re at 50% or less. You can ToD people but it costs a lot of time and fucks your team composition.
BFTG takes the Marvel 3 approach. Your ass BETTER kill someone on a touch or you risk it in return.
My issue with dbfz is that it has not many mechanics and most of them aren’t that good. It’s kind of like the same thing with SFV how it comes down to defensive options. They don’t really exist so you just block.
The other thing I find so weird and jank in the game is how teching downwards doesn’t seem to have any recovery? Not to mention the aforementioned “super-dash”, assists not being that interesting and just generally feeling like each game is a 1v1 game you play 3 times over.
Really wish DBFZ had button dashes. (No, not super dashes.) Super Dash is degenerate af.
Tbh, I like 2v2 better for VS games. 3v3 kinda gets a bit too much of a visual clusterfuck. Especially with all the explosions.
Game is fun tho. Combo system is different, but it ain’t bad per se.
BotW got me by the balls again tho. I was hoping to grind a bit before shutting down the pc but turns out I played the whole day.
I actually like BFTG because of its simplicity. It’s basically pushblock, air block and zords with the basic movement options. A mechanically simple FG with marvel combos/assists.
Also while I don’t mind ToD I understand how some don’t like it. I do like that damage is high though. In other games scaling makes it pointless or insanely slow to keep going after a certain point and it’s really annoying to me, to the point where it takes me out of the game mentally. I like that in BFTG as long as you’re hitting someone it’s doing good damage. So to me ToD just feel like a unfortunate consequence of an otherwise good philosophy.
Oh and button dashes. Button dashes are sex
Yeah, I like its simplicity too. It has everything that I would deem as mandatory for a good versus game, and nothing that I don’t like.
It does feel weird to not have air dashes though. That’s the only mechanic missing that I was the fence about, but after playing real matches, they’re not needed.
You raise a great point about the damage. I also don’t mind the TODs, I just need to learn them. For the most part, I was doing well in neutral, but would end my combos in 10 hits or less, and you’re not going to get too far in this game with that.

That lil girl has a good grip.
Gonna be a good grappler one day.
You could play Jen if you miss the Air Dashes.
Is she a DLC character? I only have the base game now, but will likely get the season passes soon
As soon as the door opened and the girl got carried away by the wind, only one word came to mind…
RAAAAAAASHIDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!!!
Theres a button shortcut for IAD if thats what you want. Roofle showed it on his latest video.
Hold up forward (and keep it held) then superdash. Apparently the superdash wont come out and you’ll get an IAD.
At least thats how i remember him saying it.
