They get more money upfront than Steam, rumored more per purchase, and if they are developing the game Epic has offered to recoup those costs.
SNK pulled a stupid move putting Samurai Shodown on Stadia.

Have you tried piccolos new A assist at all? Surprised I haven’t see people use it that much.
Once my ps+ ends in a couple days I might try to lab some dbfz. Kind of want to try out vegito/piccolo/frieza
It’s good but, lockdown with weak projectiles isn’t as good as it looks.
Also, piccolos main gameplan got nuked from orbit (rightfully), so now he’s in a wierd spot where he’s a good character, but I don’t think he adds a lot to the team.
Still, piccolo + Blue Goku gets super strong DHCs.
Good answer. Makes sense.
Also I saw you guys were posting various metal shit earlier
Y’all need to listen to soome good old Lamb of God, this song SLAPS
Okay, I’m home. Damn near everything you posted has literally nothing to do with what I said. Literally only your first two sentences address anything I said to you. Everything in bold is a diversionary rant that has fuck all to do with anything I said. Also there is difference. The platform is Windows. When you can’t play a Windows based game on Windows because Epic gave a publisher a truck load of cash. It’s bullshit and goes against what PC gaming has been about in the first place. That’s not PLATFORM exclusivity. That’s STOREFRONT exclusivity. You either download a substandard storefront from a company with historically poor security that has no issue with jacking your in personal information behind your back or you don’t play the game. A game that was designed for a platform you are already in possession of. On PC the OS is the platform not the hardware.
As for the italicized portion, I own games on multiple storefronts Steam and GOG in particular. It’s not about the storefront. It’s about the exclusivity and Epic’s lack of security. The simple fact of the matter is Epic put out an inferior storefront and to cover for that fact they started buying up exclusives to get consumers to put up with their ineptitude. If they put out an equivalent product, most people wouldn’t have given a damn. Given the size of Epic and the funds they have access to the issues the storefront had and still has are inexcusable.
Wouldn’t use it for lockdown really. Just looks like it would be really useful for screen control. That’s why I think it would be useful for both vegito and frieza.
I personally dislike exclusives as it’s pretty much a gimmick to force the consumer into buying a certain product he may or may not want to get.
I hope all / most games are released on all platforms from now on. With PC’s being more affordable into the common household i can see this happening.
all that is your own personal hangup I am sorry to say.
I like epic because it supports developers more than any other platform. And yes it is indeed a platform, not just a storefront.
You are trying to say epic game store is bad, it isn’t. Its great for the industry and the people that work in it. There is nothing “diversionary” about what I stated, you don’t wanna address it that’s on you. Exclusive game deals is great for those that want to engage on them, and it has no effect on the end user other than you gotta click a different button on your task bar. All epic games are playable on windows so I don’t even know wtf you talking about there.
PC gaming isn’t anything sacred, never was, never will be. Its just another venue to play games. That is it, that is all.
I mean, it’s pretty obvious Epic buys all these timed exclusives and supports devs more so Epic itself develops a userbase.
Remains to be seen how they will support devs when / if they grow big enough to not need to have these good deals for the devs to compete with other platforms such as Steam.
Sry though, exclusives are bad and not consumer friendly. No matter the platform.
then blame every single dev who takes the deal, not just epic, otherwise its hypocrisy at its finest.
I honestly couldn’t care if I click to the left, or the right for steam or for epic on my taskbar. I just go to who gives me a better deal, the games play the same. Epic in attempting to elevate themselves yes helps developers out more, and many of the people who get deals get financial security they could never get on steams bloated store hoping they get recognized.
This my last post on this subject. I am going to tell you the same thing I told someone else. If you aren’t going to respond things I say in a post. Then don’t respond to my post. I’m sick of people assuming shit, inserting their own narrative, and acting like I expressed something that I did never did. All the while glossing over or flat ignoring things I actually did say.
Side Note: Often the publishers are the ones pocketing the extra cash. If the developer isn’t self publishing they are not seeing any of that money you seem so focused on.
I’m not blaming Epic for anything.
I dislike having multiple accounts but i do encourage multiple platforms overall because as i said, when there’s competition between them it’s good for the consumer. It forces them to come up with good deals and further improve their services in order to stay competitive.
However my vision on good deals and a way to draw in audience is different than theirs.Timed exclusives or permanent ones are bad because i should not be forced into a certain platform when that product can clearly be delivered through multiple ones.
I did respond to what mattered bro
Epic exclusivity is GOOD. Period. I am pro developer. This along with Epic giving a better cut to devs helps devs more than steam. End of story.
I don’t care about whatever security strawman thing you posting straight up. Non issue. If its important to you then sure, I couldn’t care less.
what?
thats literally how this all works
god of war could run on xbox, its never gonna though.
this is the real world, not some fantasy land where everyone gets every game.
This didn’t exist for a long time on PC because steam had an effectively monopoly, that monopoly is now over.
Bruh just drop it already. Don’t use to me forward whatever agenda you got. Forums are for debate. I responded everything you said. Despite you not doing the same and in spite of you applying an opinion to me that I never expressed. I’m gonna try to keep it civil. So drop it already.
Shoddy security
That sounds like a personal problem.
What?
How is Epic buying the devs out to get exclusivy and then the devs getting in return a smaller audience a good thing?
Epic Game Store has been known for having shit security since forever.
Denying that is like saying there were no KZ in WW2.
you totally blowing past the fact epic is much better for developers which I stated multiple times and you ain’t addressing but sure whatever. Its obvious you got a bias towards steam thats on you. I just go with what serves me best.
That’s all I gotta say on the matter. I said at the start It makes no sense to me in the least why people so biased against epic gamestore when its obvious they offer so much to both consumers and game makers, and in the end im still perplexed why people hold such a grudge.
In the end its not gonna matter cause a 500 dollar ps5 is gonna outperform a 3000 dollar pc for some years to come lol
ask the devs then, they musta thought it was a good deal
