Dude, driving on Russian Roads is like engaging in a Random Encounter system in an RPG - you never know where and when you’ll find an opponent and how many of them will come out swinging. Some can even be equipped with bats or other melee weapons. Shit’s crazy.

Nice! I’ve debated getting one of those. It would be really fun to mess with.
It’s probably going to be another leap. I just hope they stay true to their Capcom art style and aesthetic. None of that photorealism or plunging deep into total anime (I want DLC costumes!).

It will be a leap hopefully , but they do indeed need to keep the art style or they risk losing a lot of their player base. While the recent Capcom titles look good, i honestly can’t see SF characters anything similar to what we saw in recent Resident Evil games.
Hopefully they won’t repeat the scenario of MvC Infinite.
Eh I doubt that would happen, that was more about it being a Marvel crossover and stuff I think.
As far as realistic goes at “worst” we would probably get DMC5 or MHW levels of realistic but the former would be more likely if they choose to go that more realistic direction (which I also doubt, since SF is generally exaggerated in looks and animation)
The only thing i would not mind them changing are the huge palms on characters.
Even if they keep them though i got used to it by now.

IMO the big limbs needs to go, we’ve long gone past the sprite era and characters’ attacks can be seen clearly in 3D

gohan more than most benefits so so so so so much from assists. I can think of worse anchors but the whole adult gohan thing is to get that first level of potential unleashed and then start going crazy. Without any backup though he falls short against the classically stronger assists. Pressure is his game and you don’t get that without backup.
New assist is good, but then you look at new bardock assist and laugh

hes got nothing but the literal basics just by himself, and he can’t mixup at all without assists helping him. Anchors that use the basics to win have much stronger tools to win with fundamentally. All things being equal someone like Gohan has an extreme uphill battle against characters like Yamcha, Frieza, or Broly as anchors as they all play neutral way better than him.
You can do whatever you want but if you want the optimal stuff adult gohan anchor ain’t it.

- how good is their neutral (buttons, screen control)
- can they open people up by themselves be it whatever mix/gimmick or command grabs
- How good can they dump bar solo/do they have strong ex moves
Gohan has decent buttons, but of the 3 that’s the only category he has, and he has no neutral control tools outside of that. His comeback factor is weak compared to like a yamcha where you have to play floor is lava cause ex wolf fang fists are everywhere, or Tien now with a new unseeable TK ex overhead making him able to high/low/command grab every possible blockstring in sparking.

Teen gohan isn’t an anchor character that’s really all I can say. His whole thing is bigtime buzzsaw pressure and you need assists for it.
Covid worries in my area hit a new high: my apartment complex just cancelled the quarterly maintenance visits. Just guys coming in to change air filters but apparently they don’t even want to fuck with that.
At least I’ll get plenty of GBVS and painting in while the world shuts down for a little while.
Also does this give anyone else “The Stand” flashbacks? Not nearly as bad as Captain Trips (and thank christ for that given how well it has been contained).
