WOW. Canton michigan is actually pretty well known for its racism, and racial profiling, since it is a predominately white, middle/upper class city. Im sure i posted about it in here before, or maybe it was the lounge. I’ve had cops run up on me and demand id for no reason. Its ridiculous.
Its even more annoying that black men arent even the major demographic of individuals who commit crimes like flashing people. Most of those perverse crimes are committed by honkys, and its no shocker it was 2 white suspects that were described for this crime.
This is actually an older story, and this is the 911 call that led to this happening. This guy says his wife said she saw a black man dressed in all black that exposed himself to her. She said black guy, black shorts, black tshirt, with a white emblem on the front of his shirt. The 911 dispatcher relayed all that info out. So either there was another flasher in the area, or his wife did a false report on him. I dont even know the locations of in the description to match them up.
Scared honkys. Later in the 911 call he asked about a “suspicious” black male that was detained last week for riding his bike in the area, and everyone knew he wasnt from around there. Okay, was he visiting, or just minding his business riding his bike. He then said something about another suspicious black male he saw recently in the neighborhood too. Sounds like this dude thinks everyone black in his cracka ass neighborhood is suspicious unless he knows you, because you didnt knock on his honky ass door and introduced yourself.

Being a black man in the United States has struck me with a severe case of paranoia. I drove home from work last night and found myself watching a documentary called “Driving While Black” on CNN where a man was literally dragged out of his car while filming the incident. Even Chris Rock documented being stopped while driving, which has shown me whether you’re famous, wearing a suit, or sagging your pants, they’ll find a reason to falsely ticket you for no apparent reason.
As ignorant as this may come off, I’m surprised that the student they arrested was Asian. Of course if it was a black kid, everyone would hop on the “he’s a thug” train, but if the "culprit’ was white or Asian, the officer would’ve lost his job (a week’s suspension is a very light punishment). Aside from that, I guess they’re gunning after everyone now, but why is marijuana so morally abhorrent when it pertains to the law? Don’t (most) potsmokers sit around and do nothing? Yes, there are those who roam the streets, drive while high, and become degenerates who endanger society in some type of fashion, but personally I never considered it much of a problem.
At times I wonder how I could abolish police brutality, but that seemingly requires abolish the police force altogether…I’m going to leave that Amanda Waller talk alone.

I didn’t know if this needed it’s own thread, but I have seen several media personalities condemning the organizer of this event. They had a full swat team at the event in case a mass shooting event occurred. Some in the media said this even should have never occurred because of what happened at Charlie Hebdo, but I disagree. I will never support not doing something out of cowardice.

This happened in August 2013. Officer didn’t get indicted when this was taken to the Grand jury the first time in March of 2014. He returned to duty for a year.
I guess the video got out and the Delaware Attorney General took it to a second grand jury a few days ago (or the opposite?), and now he is finally being charged with second degree assault.
