When they stop going after protesters. When the videos of police brutality that are posted stop happening, I would gladly not type ACAB. Photos of knees and hugs by the police are shared, only to show macing, tear gassing, and beatings continue that day from the same force.

You are again making a a generalization. You have your right to do so, but last time I checked ACAB = All Cops Are Bad. We have examples nationally where that is in fact not true.

This is going on because of bad cops getting away with this. What’s the answer? More tear gas, more beatings, more rubber bullets, more covering their badnumbers so they can’t indentified, more macing.
It is cool they have been protecting:
White Men showing up with Guns, Baseball bats and driving vehicles into crowds.
Cops being “generalized” are the reasons these protests are happening.
Looks like ACAB changed to All Cops Are Bastards. I don’t care for the change in Bad to Bastard. I’ll call them Bad or Bastards as long as it’s ACAB.
If good cops don’t stand up against bad cops, they are bad.
But they won’t. Not because they don’t want to, because they can’t.
Get blacklisted, nobody gonna trust you on the force, ostracized to all hell.
The complete police culture needs a reform. Cause right now, you’re fucked if you do and fucked if you don’t.

This is what we in fact need to fix.
This is not happening in every city. This is exactly my point. Not every city is falling apart. Even where I am, Durham is taking this a lot better than Raleigh.
My issue isn’t the fact that it is true for some, the qualifier ALL is not accurate.

Yes, it is. My father did that work for 28 years. They are honestly the lowest-paid public servants. I told my wife about how much my dad made with three kids at home and my mom not working. She didn’t know that they are at the bottom end of the pay scale.
Everything from how I deal with people to how I look at the world is all thanks to him. You have to remember that in many cases, police are a part of the electable branch of government which then reinforces the issues that we are talking about. It’s not just the police that is the problem. There are levels to this. Yet, the magnifying glass is on them. They have earned this one and we need to demand that some sort of reform is had. I firmly believe that this is finally going to set us up for something better.
Now, there are some dumb ass LEOs with the IQ of horse-piss, but many are actually a lot better read than you think.
Agreed, but I shouldn’t look at you differently because of your profession. Police need to be better at what they do as a whole. They are an important part in keeping society functioning. Simultaneously, we can demand that the profession holds itself accountable. There is no reason for killing a man because of some non-violent crime be another day at the office.
That honestly doesn’t make sense. You can’t redefine words based on circumstance
