The Good But Generally Bad Police Thread

Par the course…

Ahmaud in 2017.

Love how the cop said “you are making me nervous”. If I find the whole video, I will repost.

“I’m not searching you, I am checking you for weapons”

That’s…searching.

Excessive.

More on this guy

Are they so adamant on digging up dirt to justify his lynching… i’m not surprised its a typical tactic.

He wasn’t lynched, don’t be hyperbolic about this. We all agree what happened sucked but the guy wan’t some innocent church guy. Part of that reason is what ended up getting himself killed.

They hunted him

They took “justice” into their own hands

That is a lynching

I know your new thing is lol racism…but yeesh

Okay since you love to always fight me let’s dance:

You say both this and Lynching but the flaw is, Lynching is premeditated with the intent to kill. This isn’t what happened based on the footage. Ahmaud made an attempt at taking the gun. When you take a gun from someone what do you think is going to happen? YOU DON’T KNOW so the in a move of self defense, Ahmaud got shot in the process.

RACE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. No info has been posted of the two in pursuit of Ahmaud were racially charged. The problem is many peeps (yes I’ll say it blacks) always have an assumption it’s a racial issue because of the emtoional feeling you get from the first reaction BUT you have to look at all info before making a call. You have to pull apart how you feel and look at facts. Every killing of a Black man whether intentonal or not isn’t always a race thing. Ahmaud has had a history of being a criminal and HE made that choice himself and when you’re a criminal you sooner or later pay the price and even though in this case he may not have done anything criminal per say (his need to go into unfinished houses is odd) he could have avoided all of this by being a more upstanding citizen but he wasn’t

Does that mean he deserved to die the way he did? No, but that is my opinion based on the evidence. YES the two guys did take justice into their own hands and that is legal in the area where it occurred. I personally wouldn’t approve of it in this case but it happened. It was not a lynching because there hasn’t been any evidence that proves that both men had intent to kill him.

How hard is this to understand? The biggest problem was two guys despite their past being in law enforcement didn’t have the correct tools to handle this situation and thought they knew what they were doing but in the end weren’t held accountable by the local law enforcement. THAT is the issue I have. I don’t care if Ahmaud was black but apparently ignorant people who didn’t take in all evidence did.

meanwhile THIS happened while everyone eye’s were on this case with Ahmaud:

But guess what? No one was here to discuss if the black guy here was racially charged or what his intent was…do we care here? Nope! why? Because it doesn’t fit a narrative. Stop acting like you actually care because you don’t. Just admit you’re only about your tribe’s actions.

How many white people did they stop?

So, his murderers used their psychic powers to know he had a record. Then since his karma meter was full they had to shoot him. Checks out.

That has nothing to do with the events that took place. NOT AN ARGUMENT!

See what you’re doing? Your language is twisting what happened.

Murder/lynching/etc these terms mean there’s an intent to commit these acts and those guys were just negligent based on what factually happened. Can you prove their intent? Can you even make a good argument without coming at me with strawman arguments and poor wording? Look, when you can come and formulate a proper argument is when I can discuss this but your emotions get the better of you.

I would have thought that their intent was obvious… old boy red neck KKK mentality… i’m assuming not everyone confronts joggers with armed to the teeth.

It had everything to do with it.

He was arrested after shooting two people, while it took Ahmaud’s case video to be secretly leaked to a radio station, for someone to archive it, post it on the internet, and hope that it would be picked up through social media, before it was brought up on news outlets.

Not the same.

Do you live in or have you ever lived in the South? Honest question.

There was no reported burglaries in the area. The owners of that home reported that MANY ppl stopped by checking the place out but NOTHING was stolen

It was most certainly a hate crime which had EVERYTHING to do with race. You an OK dude fr, Inferno, but I hate your willful ignorance of racism, especially towards the black community

All the evidence shows they hunted him down for simply being black and you choosing not to acknowledge it for whatever reason. You gotta come up off that, fam. When you choose to ignore things like this, you become a part of the problem

@HD-Man Exactly. As a black man that has lived in the South. A lot of the racism here is just ingrained. People do racist shit right in front of your face because they see nothing wrong with it.

And Trump has only empowered them to be more bold with their racism. You pretty much see black ppl being murdered on camera everyday and the ppl who did it gettin off. Systematic racism at work

I live in the South too, but I haven’t encountered any blatant racism surprisingly, my encounters with it have been subtle (like being followed around the store), but it’s still VERY real. Regardless of which form, its garbage that needs to be scorched from the face of Earth

At times it’s pretty disgusting how dense you are when it comes to racism. Also discouraging because you aren’t the only who brushes these issues aside like they’re nothing. People that think like this are why these perceptions and actions will continue happening.

No way a black man could pull a citizen’s arrest on a white man(especially a white woman).

He probably wouldn’t make it to jail. He’d get offed with a quickness once police showed up. :coffee:

He denies racism as anecdotal like me being put in a copcar for being asian in la because i had to be in a gang
