OK this is odd, the avatar I’m currently using is 125x200 but now that I’ve uploaded it’s cut off some parts of it. Either the avatar thing is still WiP or the actual size isn’t 200x200…
I lost my avatar in the switch over. I would like to get a simple ibuki avatar with my name involved. it can be animated or not, I just want something simple. thanks.
I just made it 96x96, since that’s what the dimensions said when I right-clicked the avatar box and selected Properties. Tested it out as my avatar and it looks like it’s supposed to, so there you go.
So it’s 96x96 pixels, thanks for that, couldn’t get properties to show up when I right clicked my avatar =P

Edit: Alright, I see where the 200x200 comes into play. It’s when you click on someone’s avatar to view their profile, the avatar will fully show in 200x200.
I guess it scales down for the forum, but that can mess up the text [an example would be the Ibuki above]. If it scaled down, the small text would look messed up.
Time to test the new avatar limits! Just from observation, I think the profile picture and the avatar are the same image (avatars are just re-sized). If you look at Valaris’ av, he has an animated GIF as his picture, but in his posts, his av becomes a re-sized, cropped, static version of that picture. I’ll let you know what else I find out through experimentation.

[]Feels like the Facebook profile picture system. You can upload a really large image, and then you can crop it yourself after you’ve uploaded it.

[*]Re-sizing / down-scaling doesn’t work perfectly. If you want the best looking avatar in your posts, 96 x 96 kb is the way to go.

I really like the fact that now gravatar’s avatar can be used. Very comfy.
I need to see if I can find my image in the original sige, so I can put a high resolution image as a foundation.

Hell, this shit upscales it if it’s smaller, this is annoying.
The actual container is 102 x 102 (according to Chrome), but yeah, I’m pretty sure the file itself is 96 x 96.
