The Gifted (X-Men TV series) official thread

****http://www.superherohype.com/news/327909-fox-is-bringing-x-men-to-television-with-the-producers-of-24

I thought Fox only had movie rights, not TV?
Something like X-factor investigations could be feasible since network execs love cop shows.
As long as the writing is good and is not just the Wolverine/Xavier/Magnus/Mystique show, I’m down.

Fox, Xmen, McKay and Payne… so we basically got a black Magneto who will die at the end of S1, Xavier will be an arab and Cyclops will scream damnit a lot and every chick that comes within 3 feet of him will spontaneously combust.

Fox playing the lets see what Marvel are doing and lets do that game.

“The following takes place between 99 and 0 ‘seconds’…”

sure, you can have access to an X-Men tv show, now that we’ve buried them…however, we get access to whichever X-Men we want, and give us the FF rights back, you fucking buffoons.

After Gotham fell flat on its face, I don’t trust any super-hero related show that isn’t DC animated, produced in-house at Marvel, or on the CW*(and that last one really took me by surprise)*.

I want Wolverine alive and well.

This is gonna fail miserably…

is jack bauer magneto? otherwise not watching

This week’s episode of Gotham was pretty good IMO

**Plans for two different X-Men TV series have been revealed today by Marvel. FX Networks has ordered a pilot titled Legion, while FOX is in development on an action-adventure series, tentatively titled Hellfire. **

The first new X-Men TV series, Legion, will tell the story of David Haller. Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real. Of course, comic book fans know Haller as the schizophrenic son of Charles Xavier.

A regular in the original X-Factor book, Haller (aka Legion) famously merged his various personalities into a singular, immensely powerful individual who, in an attempt to help his father, accidentally unleashed The Age of Apocalypse.

Noah Hawley (“Fargo,” “Bones”) will write the Legion pilot and serve as an Executive Producer along with Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Wolverine), Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Superman Returns), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Martain), Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Marvel’s Daredevil”), Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Marvel’s Daredevil”) and John Cameron (Fargo, The Big Lebowski).

The pilot for Legion will be produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television, with FXP handling the physical production.

“‘Legion’ is just the sort of ambitious story that Noah excels at,” says Nick Grad, co-President of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions. “His adaption of ‘Fargo’ for television was one of the most acclaimed television events in recent memory. It’s also an honor to partner with Marvel on ‘Legion’ and to enlist such an accomplished team of Executive Producers to create this pilot.”

Hellfire, meanwhile, will be set in the late 1960s. The X-Men TV series spinoff — which will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling the physical production — follows a young Special Agent who learns that a power-hungry woman with extraordinary abilities is working with a clandestine society of millionaires – known as “The Hellfire Club” – to take over the world. Moviegoers will recall the Hellfire club’s role in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class.

Hey, CW is all about beautiful people. They just happened to find ones that can act now.

Why are you pretending a show about Legion adapted by the Fargo/Daredevil team wont be flames? :expressionless: :expressionless:

I hope it gets canned by mid way of 1st season. Fox needs to stop bitching around and let go.

Marvel already tried some shit by making the show “Mutant X” which was a low budget knock off of X-Men to get around Fox owning the TV rights back around the mid 00’s.

Yes.
But in this case, it seems that Marvel may be willing to trade Fox X-men Tv rights for the rights to Fantastic Four movies.
There are rumors that this happened and that 2020 will see a MCU FF film.

Recently, it was revealed that Kevin Feige boss is Disney , not Marvel owner Ike Perlmutter, who hates Fox and refuse to do any deals.
With the new arrangement and the nuclear bomb that was FF 2015, perhaps Marvel and Fox were able to work something out?
Marvel is listed as co -producer on these TV projects.

I wanna see an xmen tv show on fox like i want fire ants on my dick, but i’ll take the deal so marvel can get back f4 ,doom, galactus, and silver surfer.

Bauer as cyke, tony as wolverine, michelle as jean, palmer as magneto, chloe as jubilee.

Hmm… i’m not all for the trading of F4 with the X-men. It kinda sucks for me that the X-men won’t be in the Infinity war. Most of the marvel crossovers caught my interest when the X-men were in it.
