I uninstalled it. Redownloaded it and now it doesnt even give me the setup file to install it. It just the exe file to start it and that wont connect to the server. UGH!

Maybe you could move to the forums directly above this on the list? There are a few that may excite you: Newbie Saikyo Dojo, Street Fighter IV Series, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, and Street Fighter x Tekken.
Just a friendly suggestion since you made it pretty clear that you dislike all but the games that are new, which all have their own forums. This forum, Fighting Game Discussion, doesn’t include those games. Good luck with your experience using Shoryuken!

Old games can be pretty fun too. Not everyone playing ST is a god you know? ST is probably my worst game, but I still found people on GGPO pretty close to my skill level. I found games like Breakers Revenge and Jojo’s to be pretty fun, and I probably wouldn’t have found out about them without GGPO. You know what they say, variety is the spice of life (or fighting games).

Since this thread is, partly, about old games, and among those, ST is the one regarded as the best one when it comes to classic SF*, that Born2SPD is adding awesome content to the ST Wiki, which is undeniably the best one - by far - in SRK Wiki. Quality Fei Long hitbox pictures from every single move of his are now available for both the ST new (default) and old SSF2 (secret) versions. Eventually, it will be closer to complete, such as the ST Dictator and ST Ryu sections. Finding the basic - and advanced - stuff certainly isn’t hard for the old games.
*HF is mostly dead, unfortunately, and fact is online CPS-1 SF is currently plagued by turbos and macros, which is a very, very sad thing.

It used to work and then it just stop connecting. GGPO in its current state is just a fucking mess.
nephinel is freaking out because the last set we played all he did was mash s.lk for the whole round no joke not even block, then he walked backed for an entire round then he held up entirely for another round. I quit, told him he was wasting my time by playing like that.

He never showed 1 ounce of effort and no, sitting in the room and crying days on end isn’t effort. Playing someone good, doesn’t have to be me, asking questions and playing properly is showing an honest effort and that’s all I expect out of someone who’s new to the game. Justin Wong credits his reaction time and defense for modern games to mvc2. Since no new games are good online and if you want to train above the level of your game, sf4\BB for example, you can use GGPO vsav as Justin used mvc2. As a reaction time and defense trainer. New games don’t offer that speed nor do they offer successful net code to allow proper play to even remotely be a factor. Anyone arguing against this simple fact is negating 2 things, Justin’s decade of success that he contributes to mvc2 and several scientists\athletes who all mention the same thing. You’re arguing against several multi game world champions and scientists with PHD’s so good luck with that.
I really hate when unproven players just start babbling about this or that and don’t have the slightest clue as to where square 1 is and what it consists of. Yet, they have the knowledge to tell you what you’re saying isn’t true.

its not up, supercade is always up!!! pssh ggpo has an amazing track record of being 99.9999% of the time up overs its 5 years. Even steam has been down more times in 5 years than GGPO has and GGPO is free!!!

There are online multiple world champions, multiple top 8 players and it has the best net code possible with an input delay function like supercade has but I won’t use it because its taking more than 3 mins to set up so fuck it. It would allow the best training possible online but I’m so retarded since I can’t get it to work that I’ll just bash it to make scrubcade seem legit even though NO top players pick it over GGPO.
