well, 40% IS a lot. But there has to be a 20% attack gem in there, which also means his speed is reduced by 10% (Assuming they only have the basic gems in this build).
i laugh at that too – The only way to ‘work your way up’ and learn the REAL move is to do that move. I can’t believe people can write these things and not think for a second how dumb they sound.
40% alot but from the picture…it honestly looks like +40 damage instead of 40% but i guess its because its multiplied by 1…so its why it doesn’t seem amazing.
and they mite just be running both immense power lv.2~ the standard and the DLC one with the same activation condition.

What’re the Defense Gems again? I know one is for taking less damage when an opponent enters Pandora.
I’m kind of starting to dig the Vitality gems. They seem like a good solution for characters with below-average health.

Guile slowly regaining life while he turtles makes me throw up in my mouth.
Well I hope Tekken chars get good tools to go past that. Else my startegy against such a tactinc will be force feeding my pad to my oponent.
I don’t think that’ll work since Vitality gems only work if you get hit.
Makes me mad that Chi Town gets nothin.
The benefit would be that you can play your turtle style, and then if you get hit, either by getting opened up or trying to rush in, you can revert back to your default defensive position and make up some health while you are at it. It’s not going to make characters like Guile and Dhalsim unkillable, but it is going to buff their keep away because they will be able to heal and mount a safe, long range offense at the same time. Of course, this could apply to any character, I suppose, but it is definitely going to be useful for characters who are going to turtle or keep away as their preferred playstyle.
Thats apart of their playstyle turtles are going to turtle…we gotta deal with it…now its super defense, health regenerating turtles, but thats fine because there are far worse things then that im sure…tho Filipino Champ is going to lame the fuck out of this game…i can see it now…
aside from that though, i can finally see the meta game for this game is going to be interesting now…nots not brain dead as people thought it mite be…
If they’re super defense, health regenerating turtles then we’ll be the super attack, half-meter using rushdown characters, no biggie.
Focus Attacks were nice for dealing with turtlers, Absorb projectile – inch forward to drive your opponent in the corner.
miss timing or not spacing your projectile immune moves correctly can be risky and jumping forward can be risky as well on characters like Guile who recover insanely quick. Blocking, N. Jumping and Patience are your best friends against turtlers – especially Patience.
I think Guile and Sagat would be a nastly turtle team, at least you can hit Sim’s limbs when he flings them out.
Another thing people seem to be forgetting, this is a tag game. Your point character can’t deal with zoners? Then have an anti-fireball character as your teammate.
I’m going to be using my gems to fix my characters weak points. So since lili does low damage with her normals. I’ll giver her like 10 percent power gem or give bob a divine speed gem. Something to fix them up for 20 seconds.
I think it would be better to improve actual strong sides of characters than fix weak points. Zangief is strong? Make him even stronger than before! Guile is perfect turtle? Make him tougher! Et cetera, et cetera.
I will probably use Immense Power and Onslaught gems with the same activate condition, to strike my opponent with rain of hits, and then finish him off with Super.
well thats the fucking beauty of Gems…some people want to cover weaknesses some want to make certain parameters stronger…some want to improve on a certain strategy, others want to beast out in Pandora for come from behind victory~ however you want to use them…its up to you.
