So you are a little heavier. It makes sense not to go to skinny jeans but you can still try slim. They aren’t meant to be skin tight like the ones I wear, but they are just meant to take out all of that excess material you do not need. That extra shit makes you look bigger than you really are and is AWFUL/IMPOSSIBLE to look good in.
Don’t worry about size so much as length. Your height is not an anomaly (I’m 6’2") but you might have to find new brands that cater to taller people with their shirts. I mean, I splurge here and there on clothes for sure, but very little of what I own (outside of suits and a few shoes) are high designer quality. It is possible to buy some really good clothes that is both in season and affordable. Just have to know where to look.
Finding clothing in my size is an exercise in frustration, they make pants for either short people, short fat people or tall fat people. Finding shirts is a whole new level of nightmare, personally I hate clothes shopping as it is damn near impossible to find anything that fits me never the less looks good.
I can’t ever find short sleave shirts that fit me well. Pretty much the only shirts that contour well to my body are neck sized dress shirts. The arms are almost always a bit too short, too. Which is fine, since I always roll them up.
Size 15. Medium shirts fit me like tents. My chest is like 40".
You guys ever think about a tailor? I have one. He isn’t cheap and is slow but he’s great. I’ve even taken t-shirts to him because he’d make them look incredible.
I haven’t, to be honest. It’s something I may invest in down the line. If I can find one within 20 miles, that is. My adorable little state. I can be at the beach or on top of a mountain in an hour. I have to go at least as far if I want to get my hair cut by a Puerto Rican. (Not that I do, but you get what I’m saying.)
I mostly agree with this. But I’ve worn a tweed sports coat before with a half-buttoned shirt and a Ramones tee peeking out and a Louis Vuitton scarf. I’m punk that way.
