average around here for premium is about $3.45.
my car takes premium :bluu:
Do you know the truth on premium? If your car isn’t ‘80s’ old and it wants premium - more than likely you can use regular with very very little side effects - the primary one being you can’t push your car to its absolute limits, but for daily driving just regular that shit down and save a few bux. If your concerned about your injectors getting jammed, once every 3 months or so get some fuel injecter cleaner.

Well, the simple fact of the matter is that the world’s 2nd largest oil field (and a nice chunk of where Americans get gas) in Mexico is in serious decline. There’s not much that can be done about it at this point. If it was possible for them to pump more they would, because PeMex is hugely important to Mexico’s economy (roughly 40% of revenue).
This is going to impact prices in the US way more than anything that happens in the Middle East. We can bitch and complain all we want but the future of gas in the US is going to be more expensive. This summer is going to suck, I don’t believe what people say about $4/gallon being common, but it’s going to definitely hit upper $3s. During 2008, gas might actually get less expensive and might dip as low as $2.50 average because of new refinery capacity coming online and the 2003-04 worldwide oil discoveries coming online. After that though, it doesn’t look good.

Gas is probably never going to get to $2 ever again. There just isn’t enough left.
BTW, just to contribute to the thread, $3.36 here in San Diego.

Paying $1.04 PER LITRE fucking blows ass.
I average 32 mpg on 87 gas, woot! Only need to fill up $30 every two weeks.
Increasing gas prices = not teh funney. It’s actually scary thinking about running out of oil with no alternatives. Them graduate students better find another way to harness energy. >.>
that’s right jay, gas is kicking OUR ASS! especially where we live and not to mention I drive a classic 65 BUG, getting close to $30 for full tank, NONSENSE!!!:annoy: :wasted:
same gas station I always go to is now up to $3.16 for the 87 octane that I use
I’d guess you have some awesome legs…
if i wasn’t so sure you don’t go anywhere and have no social life, cause you ride a bike everywhere.
j/k <-- maybe.
speaking of bikes, are motorcycles really fuel efficient? i’m thinking about getting one…
Well gas around these parts has gone up to $3.10 a gallon! Fuck!!! When will this madness stop? as it is the price of everything has gone up because of this shit too. Welcome to the new inflation guys.
Gas in Chicago is no joke. On my way to work, I believe I saw $3.38 FOR UNLEADED!!! I almost fcuking lost it. If I didn’t have to drive to school every night, I’d seriously would park the fcuking car all day.
I’m lucky though, Most of my closest friends only live but a couple of blocks away from me. And I could use a little exercise. (NO! I’m not FAT if that’s what you’re thinking)
$2.89 for regular over here.
a friend at work rides a bike and his gets like 45 mile/gallon, and he says that is bad for a motorcycle haha…so ya they are fuel efficient…
im outi
Roberth
yeah I hear up to 60 mpg for bikes. I’m looking into them now actually, once I get all these financial matters of mine taken care of, if gas crosses that 3.50 mark which I presume it will, 'm hoping to have some money set aside for a down payment on a bike.

$3.55 for premium. I spend like $50+ a tank TWICE a week.
Ok i threw some numbers together based on my own miles per gallon and how often i fill up (this is just for the summer)
I fill up roughly 5 times a month (20 times in 4 summer months), and have a 13 gallon tank of gas.
So, at $2.50/gal x 13 = $32.50/tank x 20 = $650
…at $3.50/gal x 13 = $45.50/tank x 20 = $910
That’s a $300 difference.
Gas is a little under 3 bucks here, and I’m lucky in that my car gets really good gas mileagel (like 35+ with good driving habits), so while the prices suck, they aren’t killing me. Furthermore, I got a pretty good road bike that’ll get me to places fairly quickly
