DISCLAIMER: I love ST. Really, I do. It’s one of my favorite games of all time. That being said;
Here’s my issue with ST…what do you run it on? There isn’t a “good” version of the game out at the moment. If STHD were to release really soon I could see that, but CCC2 is too laggy for tournament play and DC version is just strange with the funky hitboxes and shit. I would like to see both GG and CVS2 in, as GG has grown tremendously with the US release (130 people have pre-regged for FRXI so far) and CVS2 is always hype and fun to watch.

i would’ve thought this would’ve been the obvious/predictable choice. the games in question of being at this evo have been gg/cvs2/st for a while now. out of those three games, guilty gear is the most deserving based on what i’ve seen. the community comes out consistently and they’re never a burden as far as supplies go. american release, even more of a reason for them to be there. game #2 should be cvs2 imo; i see the new SF releases overshadowing cvs2 in due time so make this the last hurrah. this will give time for players to pick between HD remix and OG ST(for next year).

I just thought Brawl might be taken out because it would be an easy way to fix the space and time issues without really affecting SRK/Evo’s core community and without killing the game (there are lots of other Smash tournaments out there). But whatever, obviously I’m cool with having it.
But given the people who run and are influential in Evo and their game preferences and given the importance of ST/SFHD/Remixed to them and to Capcom, I’d be surprised to see one of those games not make it. Obviously that’s the game I want to see most, especially if Remixed is out by then.
