The show is ahead of the books atm… so its all new to me now
Not completely. The show is ahead but there are still things from the book that haven’t happened yet that still can, just out of order. One thing in particular I’m looking for. There have been a few red herrings so far.
The ending would have been much more satisfying if…
Spoiler
you actually saw the hound take off and eat ramsays jaw
still very happy with how things turned out though.
Man was I the only one rooting for Ramsey to live…Rest in Pieces, one of the best villains of all time!
Sansa being influence by Littlefinger, im pretty sure she sacrafice John & his army; waiting for the last minute to gain the advantage for the attack…Total cutthroat!
Wun Wun Won the War!
My Neanderthal Nigga!* pours Mead*
So they went the more predictable route by making Sansa get the last laugh and have her message to Unkie Littlefinger go through without a hitch, good for her I guess. She seems to be channeling her momma Catelyn’s vengeful nature as well. Fiery redhead activated!

Considering how graphic the show has been overall, I really wanted to see Ramsey die slow with no cutaways. Oh well, at least I got my wish and he didn’t die to an arrow to the eye or some weak insta-death bullshit.
It’s a shame Rickon ended up as fodder .
Lastly Jon Snow out here like Fortune from MGS2, a shower of arrows conveniently missing him left and right. They could’ve at least let him get a shallow one through the shoulder or a glancing arrow cutting his cheek to at least make him seem more vulnerable. Plot armor was stronk!

She knew Jon wouldnt follow her advice, so yes, she used him and his army as bait.

I’ll also say that the cinematography this episode was beautiful. Too often these types of battles are portrayed as being very clean and easy to navigate. But I imagine that being in the midst of all those bodies and shit happening all around you very quickly, that it’d be extremely disorienting. I think this episode captured that feeling perfectly.
I think Alexander did a pretty good job capturing this probably to a fault (especially in the scene against the Persian army, shit was kind of hard to follow at first). But I agree. A tv show literally just outdid movies and their hundred million dollar budgets when it came to battle scenes.
Also someone mentioned davos. The onion knight became my favorite character in the latter books. Sort of how I enjoyed Selmys chapters in the book, his perspective on what goes on comes from a different place then 90% of the chapter holders. Happy that translated so well to the screen.
She was right to warn Jon, but her “advice” was pretty much shit. It isn’t like Jon had a ton of other options to explore given his total lack of resources or manpower compared to Bolton’s.
Also, Ned really should have taught the kids how to zig-zag. I don’t care how good of a shot Ramsay was, you’re only going to hit an erratically moving target with an arrow through luck.
That arrow scene really got me heated. The fucking kid really gonna just run in a straight line? Where are the jukes? This is how you can tell all English people would suck shit as receivers. Stick to the defensive line or QBing.
Jon has been manipulated into doing shit for other people the entire show. He’s a great leader but he leads when other people put ideas into his head. Now that he’s taken over the North again, I wonder if he’ll sit on the throne or if it’ll be Sansa.
It will be Sansa. Her claim as a legitimate Stark would take precedence over Jon’s bastard claim regardless of gender.
Plus, and maybe more importantly, she also has the legitimate claim on the Bolton side as Ramsay’s widow.
Yet she’s useless.
She has drive, but she doesn’t have the power to draw people in like Jon has. Jon has legit united people, Sansa can’t really do that.
Sansa is nearly useless, but that rarely has anything to do with who ends up in charge.
Be real, Jon ain’t listening to no more redheads. Nigga ain’t that naive, first one left him hogtied butt naked up north in klan territory, second one dragged him outta paradise and became insta groupie and now this bitch just reminding him of the ‘mother’ that hated him.
If GoT tells us anything that is true, it’s gingers are fuckin nuts. Be free Jon.
Just started reading the first game of thrones book since my brother has the whole collection and I just decided to give it a go. Interesting so far, I’m at the part where Ned and King Robert are discussing Jaime’s acquisition of “leader” of the armies of the east and west. Or some shit like that.

Tormund is actually one of the most sensible characters on the show though.
GoT just has a thing about red headed women. And Cersei. And Dany when left to her own devices. And Arya’s whole join and then leave a murder cult, and then parade around the city like it ain’t a thing decision making.
At least Brienne gets to coast by without making many command decisions. Mostly just following orders.
Have I mentioned how much I like Yara?
I loved when Danny or whatever her name is got shat on with her crazy dad.
Yeah, your dad got got but he made it necessary. Dude wanted to burn an entire city down.
Yara is cool… i liked the girl power / lesbo moment she had with dany
Oh wait, shit, forgot the other actually competent women in GoT, the Tyrells.
