K guy redheads donāt count, Tormund saves em all @Vynce but the chicks on this show are all about some kinda bullshit.
I wanna read the books because I love the amount of character back story. I often play that deadly game of reading up on character wikis without trying to spoil shit for myself. I guess I got the LotR deal. Iāll do the books after the show to cover the bases.
Some of the dumb shit from last episode was Wun Wun going in with no weapon. I dunno how strong giants are in GoTverse but not even a log or heavy pike?
Wildings getting heavy shaft, small numbers climbed the wall, raided the north. Outta 2000 of em none of these tenchu dudes couldnāt assassinate Bolton at the parlay? Anticlimax I know but we talking show term OGs of guerilla warfare. Snow monkey killers with every advantage didnāt even think to make an attempt. The Wallace is displeased.
Ricky is a given, but if the nigga started bobbin n waving then Bolton would just made it rain arrows so a moot point.
Wun Wun death. Jon ran to Winterhelm on foot instead of spending 5 minutes with the Vale knights. They could have gave Wun Wun some prep time but no a bitch ass needless death.
Onion Knight heavy fuck up. Bolton committed his rearguard to the fight, Onion took the few men he had into the melee cause #whitelivesdontmatter. Blew me up, he could have adapted a flank position with the 50 or so archers he had to range in on Bolton or take down the shield auxiliaries. Needless bullshit for dramatic effect.
I canāt shit on the Onion Knight too much. Dude could have made better choices but then the episode would have run on too long. Basically feels like he was forced in to making the choices he did to satisfy the TV format.
I totally get my complaints (and there are more) are for the benefit of TV and runtime, but it really is some ignorant shit that battle. Ive seen better tactical adoption done in the fucking LA riots. Am trying not to hate cause I know the score, but in hindsight when I rewatched the episode I was like āreally these guys are calling the shots?ā
Stannis watching from Hell pissing himself laughing. It has to be said, htf did he lose if Snow could win in those conditions lol. Shit was dumb to the extent Stannis could of won with 5 guys with the same level of plot armour.
Credibility is pissed away the second a dude punches through the front door of one of the greatest keeps in Westeros bro. How long does it take a bunch of guys to cut down a tree? If he was a siege weapon why was he in the front lines?
Rushdown tactic was the best option but given the state of defenses at Winterfell, how much time you need? They had no trebuchet the Vale knights could of built one in a week and smoked joints. If they could rushed down during the night the ploy falls into the best win scenario for Jon so enhances my point.
Yea thats why I said with the same level of plot armour. Again I state, am not trying to hate, but it was just bullshit when you look back on it. Nightking is raising hoards with a swipe of his hand and bending space time around his dick and this is his opposition? I make peace with the battle knowing Jon isnt a proven battlefield commander yet and is still learning everything and Bolton is just a sadistic bastard pretty much in the same boat exp wise. Going back to my pint now.
Wait so stating what you didnt like about an episode while accepting why it was done and disagreeing with your stupid shit is bitching now? Good day to you sir.
itās very rare for film these days to have battles of this level of quality, intensity, detail and atmosphere. and Sansaās smile after walking away with total victory secured in Winterfell, is SO EPIC. As leader of Winterfell, she could be smart to stay on Jonās good side because whatever forces they unite with would make Winterfell stronger instead of isolating her house and making new enemies. The timing of the reinforcements was perfect. Sansa really helped turn the tide.
I dunno why Dany doesnāt simply kill Tyrion, heās a shifty bastard that just wants to be on the winning side. just burn all enemies, kill their leaders, pressure those that surrender to fight on the front lines for her side, destroy Kingās Landing, destroy the Faith of the Seven people, exterminate the Tyrells and Lannisters. build a new domain. Daenerys could have it all, and she has the dragons to counter the whitewalkers. and if there arenāt enough dragons, then breed more dragons StarCraft style.
Make no mistake, this episode was pretty terrible story-wise. The cinematics were cool and the offing of Ramsey, but the whole episode was one of the worst for GoTās story because it was just all so blindly predictable.
Tyrion is one of the few people in all of GoT who is willing to tell powerful people to their face when they are being stupid. Thatās worth something, even if he does fuck up on his own or takes bad risks sometimes.
Iām surprised more enemies werenāt astonished to see a giant among Jonās ranks. AFAIK, giants were considered mythic creatures in Westeros, but save for the soldiers that were directly in Wun Wunās line of sight, Boltonās men were quite brave.
Iām inclined to believe you since you come from the region with the largest population of redheads in the world.
Which just reminded me, the Onion Knight might cut a ginger bitch next ep. Sorcery be damned.
