I swear they’re offscreening so many big players just so they CAN write them back in later if they feel like it.
Anyway, super disappointed that Arya really WAS a dumbass in the previous episode. I mean, I like the outcome of it all. Even if a lot of people predicted the “fight in the dark” bit, I thought it was handled well. And I liked the final scene between Arya and Jaqen.
Howeverrrrr, while Arya’s come out of it all a pretty badass little assassin girl, it feels like that’s not that much of a payoff for all of this. I guess it’s the “training montage” aspect of it, and the lack of warg hacks. And of course the fact that she seemed to instantly forget all her training the moment she decided to leave, allowing Waifu to stab her, making even the training montage seem entirely wasted on Arya.
I can’t complain about the Hound being written back into the show. Every scene with him is hilarious in the best way. I’d watch a movie with the Hound just going around doing that, like a burned Westerosi Crocodile Dundee.
You know, maybe Arya just thought they would let her bounce untouched? I mean, that would be super naive and all but it isn’t like they ever let her read the rule book.
I wonder what Jaqen was supposed to be thinking when Arya was holding Needle on him. NOW she’s no one? That’s like the exact opposite of his indoctrination method having the intended effect, but for some reason she’d still get in anyway on a technicality.
They really handle the Arya thing poorly…Instead of getting stabbed in the gut at the bridge, why not have Arya watch the play one more time & say goodbye too that actress she was suppose to kill. Have the waif kill the actress in front of Arya & then wound Arya…Do the whole scene of her running away to her dark room & Zatoichi over!
I wonder if the no trial by combat thing was a way for Margery to fuck over Cersei? It kind of fucks over her brother too, unless she has a plan for that.
Clegane bowl, the Hound vs the Mountain…yeah that would have been something. With no trial by combat, Cersei is absolutely screwed, though I’m happy with that. However perhaps Tommen is just playing dumb, and actually has a tactically brilliant plan! He asked his mother to help him be strong, he wants to be strong. Maybe…no he is just a dumb naive pushover that is a brainwashed puppet at this point.
The hound axing people up was sweet. Guy is still a terrifying fighter. Wonder if he’ll ever run into Ayra or Brienna again.
Jaime’s taste in women…he is a good looking guy, and of a powerful family, could have his pick. Instead he is attracted to his own sister and an ogre of a woman in Brienne. Anyways the scenes between them were some of the strongest of the episode, Blackfish could be alive too.
The Arya/Waif battle was lame. So I assume the Waif never went through blind training? If not that is an easy victory, but wouldn’t the Waif back out then and wait for another opportunity? Also how did Arya pull a Wolverine and be completely healed? Also no way could she sneak up on Jacquen. What the hell, so Arya suddenly is the ultimate stealth assassin? I agree that what he said makes no sense either, and then he just lets her go. Just very forced.
Dana arrives and I assume is going to give Tyrion hell for his actions. After she triumphantly burns the enemy fleet to oblivion. However I assume that battle will be left for the final episode, since the Snow/Bolton battle is next week. I feel the Bolton/Snow battle is much more interesting since it is much less predictable what will happen. With Dany, she is going to look like a goddess and destroy the enemy and say some cool lines.
Speaking of next week, I noticed a giant! The giant refused to join the cause, but I guess he changed his mind. Looking forward to Ramsey’s reaction on seeing that massive creature wreck havoc.
Nah, the dumb fucker really should’ve known trying to attack a 7-foot zombie that’s 450 pounds of solid muscle on his own was NOT going to work out well for him at all.

Thing is all those faith militant could have surrounded and stabbed mountain to death. However after seeing the mountain rip off a guy’s head with his bare hands, they all lost their will to fight.
You kidding? The Mountain’s already dead, he could swat them away in groups of like 8 if he wanted and probably slice 5 of them in half at the same time.
I think it’s pretty obvious that Wun Wun is gonna get peaced out early next episode. Yeah, he’s a giant, but he’s also a giant target.
Plus it only took 5 or 6 men to take down that one giant during that battle at the wall which I think was bullshit. Never understood how that worked… 5 dudes with swords, kill a giant and get killed themselves. You would think their bodies would have been ripped and stomped to pieces, but nope.
Who would beat living Mountain? Wun Wun, Bran, Ygritte (archer mode), prime Jaime (he was the real deal), Hound would stand a chance, Bron would have an outside chance, Brienne would be a long shot (bad match up), the Red Woman, Jaqen, the Children, the White Walkers, 3 Eyed Raven, Dany (airforce), Dayne, Selmey. Probably missing a few.
