CONFESS DAMMIT!

So where would you guys rank Randyll Tarly on the best fathers tier list? Keep in mind he’s going up against people like Tywin Lannister, Roose Bolton, Balon Greyjoy, Craster, Robert/Stannis Baratheon and Walder Frey. Mace Tyrell and Ned Stark are probably at the top even though the former’s a buffoon and the latter was so politically inept it cost him his life and the downfall of his house. I suppose you could also argue Oberyn Martell but if he was any decent he wouldn’t have ended up raising the Teenage Mutant Ninja Sand Snakes.

Stannis has to go at the top.

dat episode! Sam the Slayer now has a beastin valyrian 2 hander, Uncle Ben has dem plot armor saves against WW and probably some of their power and now Danny has a massive shite CGI dragon.

So we know of 4 valyrian swords now right?

A decent exposition epsiode.

I like that Arya didn’t sacrifice her soul to a death cult as a means to revenge, and now she’ll be on her blind samurai shit. I will take pleasure in seeing that sadistic bitch get eye shanked by Needle.

I knew there was going to be a twist with the High Sparrow, but I expected Tommen was only pretending to heed to his words under the advice of his mama. Now I know he’s really a gullible fool. Oh well…

Gilly is a ride or die chick, respek.

Coldhands aka Benjen Stark is an interesting character and it seems those book readers were right on the money with their prediction.

Speaking of which, but is it just me and this season is full of too many close call saves? It seems very unlike normal GoT where a horrible situation usually means a horrible end. Meera and Bran were obviously not going to die, but this whole last second heroics all the time is too cliché for a show like this. Especially with what happened with my dawg Hodor. shakes head low

Yeah, I definitely noticed all the “Han Solo” saves this season. Benjen literally came out of nowhere… I mean… he was just… there. Sitting on his horse right in front of the wights.

Tommen is everybody’s tool, but I totally called prep time Sparrow. Smelly old dude knows the game well.
I can’t help but think that Marjory may be playing a game of her own for the sake of her bro.

Making an obvious statement here, but it dawned on me that all the fucked up shit that’s been happening for the past several years is because of Cersi’s multiple botched power play attempts.

GOT keeps the tradition of hard ass shitty fathers alive and well.

The dragon CGI looked bad.

They tried to explain it as bran called him. But Bran had no fucking clue who he was (unless they ment the old 3 eyed Raven)

Those who read the books knew Benjen would make a return, he guided the crew through the wall in the first place (presumable controlled by the old 3 eyed Raven)

There is a lot of captain save a hoe going on here that wouldn’t and hasn’t been the case in the books. Even though I think the writers are doing an excellent job for the most part, you can clearly tell this season without defined source material they are slumping to old cheap tv and movie gimmicks to advance the plot. It seems very amateur-ish and out of place for anyone who has watched this series or especially read the books.

The Coldhands thing happened pretty much the exact same way in the books.

Except he saved Sam and Gilly.

I know you’re talking about the show, but depending on how closely they hew to the books there are probably at least a few dozen around- mostly in the hands of minor nobles (nobodies) like Sam’s dad.

Speaking of Sam’s dad- the family estate on the show was way, way nicer than the books iirc.

Yea I was shocked at how nice their keep was. They are supposed to be a lesser house who lost mostly all of their power picking the wrong dragon during the dance with dragons hundreds of years ago.

Lot of old blood but not a lot of influence or power. Shit on the show looked like it could have been highgarden.

Now going back through everything, it looks like they still were a pretty powerful house during Roberts Rebellion. Still a lesser house under the Tyrells though.

Faceless chick is a snitch.

Actually everythings thats happened is because of Littlefinger. He had the original Hand of the King killed because he was about to expose Cersei. He needs Cersei in power because she fucks everything up and that creates opportunity for him. Littlefinger is like the Aizen of GoT everything is going according to his plan.

Which is also why he sided against Ned Stark when he was ready to come out with the truth.

Calling it just so I can say I called a ridiculous plot development:

[details=Spoiler]Arya fights and kills the Waif in the dark. Except, turns out it’s Jaqen. For real. No mask to pull off. OR IS IT. You never know.

We’re left with the Waif continuing her training, because for some reason the Faceless People appreciate it when you’re not just mindlessly following orders or something. The “don’t let her suffer” line was referring to her taking over main mentor duties for Arya, and Jaqen asking for her to not go TOO hard on her. Just a few broken ribs here and there. Maybe a concussion or three.[/details]

I think Arya kills the Waif after getting her ass kicked by using her warg powers somehow to turn the tables on her. Show has been doing a few little things to get slightly back in line with the books by alternate means here or there and Arya’s warg powers are one of the remaining oversights they have a chance to catch up on.

There’s no reasonable way Arya beats the Waif without hacks or serious help.

The davos knows his shit… the blackfish!!! long time no see…

Sam’s mom is a milf.

it started out according to his plan but now it’s spiraling out of control. also i woudl only say some of the events started because of him. the major events started hundreds of years ago.
