Not saying I disagree but you would think after a while they would stop with the nonsense. No Targaryen has show to have any short of magical powers with the exception of Dany, and she had a witch put a curse in her belly. In fact many Targaryen have died at the hands of fire and dragons. No Targaryen bastard has sat the throne but of those born outside of incest they seem to be the most level headed. Its funny, the Targaryen who wanted to put a stop to the incest was also the one most obsessed with fire, and bringing dragons back. His downfall could have been since his mother was a Dayne he couldnāt harness the magic to resurrect the dragon eggs.
I think the Targaryen lineage should be the next story HBO tackles, with or without George. There are so many interesting story lines in there. They could stop at Aegon the 5th since George is writing those stories.
So, with Bran being able to warg people in the past or whatever, I half expect him to at some point warg into his past self or something and make it so he was lower when he fell out of the tower so he can walk in the present or some random shit.
So is Bran just some sort of entity, something that lives through eternity? I remember when he first met Jojen, Jojen told him that he was the 3-Eyed Raven, which at the time seemed really odd, but now starts to make sense. Also, the old tree dude told him that eventually he would fly. It seems like Bran is definitely an immortal
The dude in the teaser with the flaming morning star has got to be Coldhands or the return of Nuncle Ben.
[details=Spoiler] Or theyāre the same guy OooOooOOOOooOoOOooooOO[/details]
Euron is kind of annoying without his fucked up eye and spooky crew.
I said this last week but wtf did Littlefinger think Sansa was going to say to him? Unless he really didnāt know about Ramsey⦠in which case maybe LF isnāt as all knowing as we had thought. Heās got a **QUICK **horse though, boys. I wonder what is going to happen to Brienne and Pod in the riverlands.
Arya and the play was pretty cool. No way she becomes no one. Iām hoping that we either have a wolf dream to snap her out of it or she somehow gets back to Westeros and Nymeria seeks her out.
e: Oh and Summerās death⦠fucking pissed. I like that the dog sacrificed itself to save itās humans. I like the imagery of āWinter killed Summerā but I like this one better: āCGI budget killed Summerā
All of the standard feelings about Hodor. Sad. Great job on the kid who played Wyllis, he killed it.
well, there was that one scene when LF visited Winterfell to deliver Sansa, and he spoke with Ramsey. He said something along the lines of āItās quite rare to be someone I know very little aboutā and Ramsey promises to take care of Sansa. etc.
Iāve heard some theories that family lines with magic aka āESPā might be driven mad because theyāre constantly hearing voices from everywhere. Sweet Robin might also possess this āmadnessā due to his unrefined abilities.
The show just made Littlefinger act out of character. This is the guy who caused the entire War of the Five Kings. Zero chance book Littlefinger would hand over a person as valuable as Sansa to someone he didnāt know.
I think season 5 was as bad, slow and boring as it was because the writers wanted to give GRRM some extra time to complete the sixth book, which is why there was so much filler like Jaime in Dorne. After it became clear George wasnāt anywhere near done they decided to move on and push towards the finish line.
Season 6 has been one of the better seasons because theyāve really picked up the pace of the story. A ton of book spoilers have been revealed (Jonās resurrection, Danyās Dothraki army, origin of Hodorās name). Not sure if White Walkers were really created by the tree elves, but whatever it works in context of the show.
As usual I have no idea whatās going on during arya and branās storylines most of the time lol. Jon Snow and Tyrionās parts are the most interesting to me.
I wish they developed the tree elves a bit last season or at least drop some sort of exposition about what they are and a bit of their history I remember starting this season like āwhat the fuck is that thing?ā and now theyre an important key to the story all of the sudden?
Definitely one of the stronger episodes of the season.
edit:Theres a lot of issues I have with this season. The Tyrion scenes feel like filler with bad dialogue to boot, The Jorah and other dude scenes were almost a replacement for the cheesy Jamie and Bronn scenes from last season, Arya getting her ass beat is getting a bit repetitive⦠I just feel like theyre doing a lot of the same kind of scenes with the same people just to have them in the episode. The dany flame scene and the arya watching the play scene were just sort of rehashes of scenes from previous seasons. The only stories that have actually advanced are Bran, Sansa, Theon, and John and they should have used more time to flesh those out than checking in on Tyrion and Arya. The whole aryas training thing up to this point could have been done with 1 montage.
