lol i kinda considered the same thing, but they ARE the same people who go to the nude beach planet, and co-ed showers.
I like the sexual levels where it’s at. They’re not throwing nudity at us (although I wouldn’t complain about a tastefully humourous showing of parts of Amy or Leela’s anatomy), but they’ve definitely kicked it up a notch.
I’m just counting down the days until we get to see some of my favourite old characters (Scruffy, Clamps, Hedonism Bot, the awe inspiring Calculon, Robot Devil, and GIVE ME A MOM EPISODE ASAP). I am aware we saw Scruffy, but in his case, dialogue is necessary to fully appreciate and worship him.
SWEET!!!
I am looking forward to Leela leading teh mutants in battle against the surface dwellers, and Bender fighting for robosexual rights (bring back Lucy Liu!!!)
Just saw the first two episodes and i gotta say that they were MUCH better than the last two Futurama movies; it’s been a long time since Futurama has made me horse laugh like that. The writers are definitely on point so far and I hope they keep it up!
About the movies- Bender’s Big Score (the first one) is the only one I actually bought, but I’ve seen the last two on TV, though, granted, not all in one sitting. I really enjoyed the final movie (Into the Wild Green Yonder) quite a bit, but that one seems to get hated on the most of the four? I don’t fully remember it, but I watched the last half of it before the 2 new episodes last week, and I gotta say that I thought the second half of the movie was pretty strong.
Though, I can see how it may have been disappointing given that it was supposed to be the final Futurama movie/anything.
Amy: "Don’t tell me to shut up! You know what happened to the last guy that told me to shut up?!"
Bender: PFFT! No what?!
*cut to a scene where they are both in bed."
Amy: That was great…
Bender: Shut up… more sexing
Quality is very uneven. Some eps have been great, but this latest DaVinci ep was really bad imo. It got a bit better towards the end, but overall it was very lacking and felt very “linear” or… some other word. I dunno.
Lethal inspection felt closer to some of the more sentimental older eps, like the sting or Jurassic bark, Definately glad futurama hasn’t lost that charm.
-meh, sorry to complain, but that was one of the weaker episodes this season, and seemed to focus TOO much on just Hermes and Bender. Too predictable, and even the wonderful musical choices of Matt and David couldn’t save this one.
nowhere near as good (or tear enducing) as Jurassic Bark or Luck of the Fryrish
New ep last night, it was alright. I’m liking the focus on Professor, his drinking teeth were awesome. Plus we saw Quebert and Hedonismbot back finally. “there were piles bodies everywhere… and then the explosion happened!”
