The only way to play Doom is with mouse/keyboard. Just like, the only way to play a Street Fighter game is with a 6-button arcade type of stick!!!

It’s why I prefer the PC still.

Although the OG Doom got ported to everything, mostly with how well and clean the OG source Code was written that even platforms (like the Amiga) John Carmack said can’t Run Doom (and he right for actual good reasons) still ran doom.
Hell someone got Doom running on a real NES using a Raspberry Pi into a custom NES cart.

For Doom 2016 I have it on 2 systems; my PC and my Switch with PC my go to.
I probably just nab Doom Eternal on the PC I preordered Doom Eternal on Steam, which also comes with the PC port of Doom 64.

I can’t play otherwise, just like how I can’t play any Capcom fighting games on anything but a fight stick (learned and ingrained it into my being since I went to the arcades as a kid/teen). There were no pads and such in the arcades!

Eternal is apparently ready to pre-download on all systems that pre-ordered it.

It’s downloading on my PS4. I pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition and the size is 42.7 GBs

Doom 64 downloaded as well and was 110 MBs

I’m in the same boat, and a little concerned I haven’t gotten a shipping notification from Amazon. A few days won’t be a big deal, but if it’s postponed until April due to Amazon’s Covid-19 shipping suspension, I might cancel and just go digital.

Amazon still doesn’t have a date for my DOOM Eternal so I guess I’m playing other versions of DOOM. Need to finish DOOM II, buy DOOM 64 and start DOOM 3.
