@PlusFrames Thanks for the L3 dash tip, itās starting to click though Iām gonna need a lot more time with it before Iāve got it down pat. But the extra trigger makes a big difference when trying to output damage quickly.
I think Iāll start campaign again on Nightmare to force myself to get the hang of it.

Third run complete. First run thatās completely UV, as well as 100% done (all secrets, Gates, Mission Challenges, etc), all done within the Campaign (no Mission Select).
The only thing not 100% is weapon mastery. I thought youād get enough Mastery Coins by the end to do them all, but nopeā¦ Oh well, canāt win them all.
I died more than I wouldāve liked, but still did better than I thought I would.
Now onto Nightmare

Made it through the ARC Complex and fought the Marauder. That dudeās a fucking beast.

It took me a while, but I realized the best way to counter the Marauder is to dash away from him. Heāll chase you down, and throw his axe (which you can easily avoid) and when he gets close enough, he usually goes for a counterable attack.
I fought against him twice last night while doing this and he was dead within seconds.

Yeah, I tried it last night, and didnāt have any issues with the Ballista whiffing. Itās also easier to aim once you know how to bait an attack.

Yeah I really donāt know why the game tells you about some sweet spot, there isnāt one. Just stay the fuck away from him and heās harmless. Clear up other threats, then let him charge you and counter hit him.

I have to say, the best rune in the game is the one that gives you a speed burst after a glory kill. Itās so good.

After the first encounter i just ran away dealing with other shit and he would always eventually dart close to me and go for a green eye swipe

Iām playing on Nightmare but I didnāt say anything about how successfully lol. Iām still dying a lot but Iām getting better slowly.
Itās gonna sound really stupid but the number one thing I try to remind myself as I play is to consciously accelerate the pace at which my fingers execute everything Iām doing. I fumble a lot but if Iām not pushing myself constantly then I wonāt get better at faster execution.
Another thing to remember is, and it might also sound obvious, is donāt be stubborn in your approach to every encounter. If youāre dying repeatedly to certain encounters, donāt assume itās only because youāre fucking up during the encounter and that next time you just need to execute the same plan better, it may be that youāre starting it off poorly, picking a bad spot to start, charging in where you shouldnāt etc. You may start fucking up precisely because youāre putting yourself in a bad spot and start panicking when things inevitably go south, so think about your approach to each new encounter that you have trouble with.
