I got the air control rune early on and never changed it. It was that, increased speed after a glory kill(which feels great) and increased range on glory kills. You can be a mile away and yet you can glory kill maphuckers, it felt amaze.
DID YOU GUYS BUY DUSK YET? IF NOT WHY NOT? 11/10 TITLE
Skort, thatâs Chrono Strike (mid-air slow down) Rune is ridiculous!
What weapons are you typically using with it? Seems the precision mod to the Heavy Cannon is deadly. That will definitely help me against the 2nd last boss.
The details in Doom Eternal was staggering. Staring at piles of bodies move around, the backgrounds for the giant chasms etc is why it is taking me so long to finish the game.
The Chrono Strike Rune does take some time to work withâŚ
You certainly have to be mindful of which weapon/mod you have selected at the time, where youâre facing when you press L2 (depending on the weapon/mod), and with the Plasma Heat Blast mod if youâre going to waste a blast. Definitely a game changer once you get used to it though.
Also, at first it made me play much more aggressively and just jumping up with slight movements (like I used to in Unreal Tournament), as opposed to running around as you do in Doom, which got me killed in arenas I shouldnât have died in. Now Iâm trying to use it more as I run and jump around.
Jesus fuck do the Muraders exemplify the ammo problem. Running around in circles kiting a enemy in a fucking DOOM game because I need an enemy to spawn for ammo. Smh. Muraders suck.
I wish this enemy wasnât in the game. They grind the pace to a hault. Actually I just wish they didnât have the shield, or that you could at least pop the shield. That stupid ass shield ruins them.
Just beat Eternal again on my 2nd run-through, and am I nuts for wanting to hop into a third campaign, like right now?
I really like it more than 2016. On paper, there are things I like more in 2016, but I found the last few levels didnât grab me as much as the earlier levels did. In Eternal, I have just as much fun in the early levels as I did in 2016, but it just gets more fun the deeper you go.
Also, unless youâre maxing out upgrades on all weapon mods (which is good for your first run to see what you like), you can definitely get all the mods and upgrades you could want on subsequent runs while skipping all Slayer Gates, some Secret Encounters, and a few Mission Challenges, which is good if youâre thinking a Ultra Nightmare run, IMO.
I think the Air Control Rune is a must, and I like Chrono Strike (Air slowdown) but I donât think it suits my typical style in Doom. I like running/dashing and jumping around in wide circles around the arenas. The jumping though is more to jump between platforms and stuff. Spinning around in slow-mo to fire at guys mid-air takes my focus off running around in these circles and I end up focussing on one enemy too much. Iâm sure people with better aim than I have make better use of it though. It was invaluable against the second last boss, and doing some of the harder jumps, particularly for some of the later secrets.
I need to play it but Iâve been practicing getting the hang of the weapon switch tactic on DOOM Eternal with my controller, and collecting stuff that I missed on the 1st playthrough.
And of course, the MHW: Iceborne grind on both PC & PS4!!
