not just thatâŚthawne went back in time and altered how his future is supposed to run. he created the flash and metahumans instead of it happening naturally. he forced it all to happen alot earlier than it should have. in theory the true flash is the one that told barry not to start flashpoint.
So? This timeline is the one weâre watching. If youâre talking about what they can/cannot do because of what happens in the comic, Arrow has already thrown it out of that timeline/universe.
From what I gather, heâs gonna be stuck in an alternate Earth now, trying to get back. Still undecided how similar it will be to season one. The current universe will exist with whatâs left of STAR Labâs crew, trying to get him back. Arrow and Crew come to save the day mid season or so. Ollie fights the big bad to save the day last part of the season, city rejoices, Iris finally stops annoying the fuck out of me by being so annoyingly sexy.

what? this has nothing to do with comics but basics of time travel. thawne explained to barry how shit was supposed to happen, but he sped it all up, thus making an alternate future. i dont know how this is that hard a concept to get. the true original flash is the one who stops barry. this has nothing to do with the comics version at all.
ya they already mentioned there is gonna be some alternate world jumpingâŚand other flashes are gonna appear. so hes probably gonna be guided and mentored by other flashes but it seem jay garrick is gonna be the big deal of the flashes. though it should be maxâŚin comics he hit the speedforce and was getting lost in time so its pretty easy to change that up from time to worlds imo.

its a possibility but thats generally not how it works for comics and movies. its apparently doing the butterfly effect atm, where it just results in an instant. but generally the reboot would just happenâŚlike the flash would wake up one day remember all this shit that went down but everythings back to normal. heâd remember because hes kinda a paradox due to time travel fuckery. ie. this is what usually happens for impulse since hes existing out of his own timeline he notices time travel fuckery.
but weâre not sure exactly whats going onâŚthe black hole maybe the universe trying to fix itself. we kinda gotta just sit tight, wait and see since we dont have much more to go on just yet.

Thawne will be back because of time travel/alt universe fuckery, and they havent even unleashed the true power of reverse flash yet, which is the reverse speed force, which allows him to be completely unaffected by any changes within any time line.
Just to add on to what everyone else is saying. Yeah, this timeline has been an alt one since barry altered it, but really since we found out thawne got stranded here, and was trying to kill barry, but instead took out his mom, who originally didnt die by his hand in thawnes original timeline.
The time travel shit is gonna get ridiculous, and will be fun to discuss, but i wouldnt focus on it too much, because unless those writers spend a tremendous amount of time on every detail of time traveling, there will be hella loop holes and contradictions.
Currently one thing still remains not talk about much, which is, what was reverse flashes OS basing her future predictions on, because thawne simply being there was altering the timeline, but clearly it wasnt altering it enough to change the event of flash going missing. Only once did it do that, and he fixed it. The answer to that question is probably the future redundant explanation of simply, the universe finds a way to ârepairâ itself.
I wouldnt be shocked if eddie finds his way to being zoom, especially since the original zoom tried to be barry allen so bad, he wanted to replace him as irisâs husband. Eddies character has a perfect setup to come back as the nutty zoom who wants to be like barry, and take iris from barry one way or another. Eddie was the good guy who got buttfucked all of season 1. Hes definitely coming back as zoom, and im gonna poop my pants when it happens. lol
