in one of the flashbacks you get clear look and it is indeed reverse flash/professor zoom in the lightning attacking barrys mother.

In the comics, did Zoom go back in time to make the Flash, or try and prevent him from being a super hero? It seems Wellsâ mission is to make Barry into the Flash. Even though heâs going about it in the âends justify the meansâ kind of way, I see it as Wells not only wants Barry to have the powers, but be the super hero to maybe save the world from an event in the future. Probably making it more complex than it needs to and he really is Zoom. I donât know.
Funny thing is that if Well is in fact Zoom, rather than threaten to kill Iris and take away all the evidence, he could read what was just scribbled down and realize heâs not a suspect anymore.

wells is zoom people. its not that hard. they arent gonna red herring itâŚits as obvious as day. Dudes already killed people, and its been with a knife before i believe. He is still the prime suspect, thawne will become zoom 2 eventually once iris becomes more indanger and after barry reveals himself to both iris and thawne. Itâs clear they are gonna go the way of some sort of brotherly thing.
Most likely barry will kiss iris, after iris finds out barrys true feelings for her and reveals himself to be the flash. Thawne will somehow see this and figure out a way to make himself zoom. shit wells may even himself turn thawne into zoom since they do team up in the comics
plot 1 will involve solving the murder and discovery of wells being zoom
plot 2 will be the love triangle plot
there is another possibility as well. cobalt blue aka barry allens twin brother, i dont think they are gonna do it. but hes still a possibility.
If i remember correctly, and it varies, but zoom is from the future, and he was obsessed with the flash, so he created the time machine treadmill, and recreated the circumstances that made the flash (to become him), and went back to find the flash, but in the process of time travelling, it made him a little crazy, and then some shit with the flash made him even crazier, and he just went nutty. Later on he found his way into the reverse speedforce, and is able to travel around through time and erase people if he wants. Zoom doesnt create paradoxes like the flash would, he straight up just takes you out of existence and nothing changes, or some shit like that.
which is clear that this is all leading to. so there is a possibility that wells is from the future and say for w/e reason he created the flash. they battle, and it erases zoom from the timelineâŚthen without zoom and no memory thawne becomes zoom 2 due to love triangle plot.
