That might be another reason why Wells let him out instead of someone like Mist. The guy knew Barry’s identity and that made him more expendable in the “good” doctor’s eyes.
I shouldn’t complain about the laws of physics in a fictional tv show but…

[] I don’t get how someone standing still could be grabbed by the flash and carried to some other place and not have some sort of internal bleeding/damage.
[] Barry out ran electricity (through the air).
[] How does someone who’s entire body turns to steel not kill someone with a single punch.
[] Barry makes coffee for 10 or so people in a blink of an eye, no machine operates that fast. It reminded me of Lucy when she is working on two laptops opening 100s of tabs, yet there is no performance slow down.
[] Barry has been moving at speeds that have allowed him to leave the presence of an individual and then return without them noticing.
[] Barry has somehow avoided any cctv cameras in the city from picking him up.

lol…rumor saying wells is a new god. i was googling gideon and saw some articles on that.
When barry touched someone moving at his speed shouldn’t he shatter all their bones. Also how does he get hit by anything considering he moves fast enough to appear instantaneous.
He should kill them, but in the comics its just explained as a usage of the speed force allows him to do a lot of stuff without harming himself, others, or the environment. But quite honestly, speed force aside, the flashes powers arent “biological” anyways. He can literally stop, do something, and take off without timie immediately coming to a hault, and then starting again once he takes off. So he seems to be working in general in some type of other way when it comes to his interaction with space/time, regardless of any speed force nonsense.
Like, a frictionless suit is stupid since it doesnt cover his whole face, and he needs friction on his feet to run properly, not to mention people and objects would slip out of his hands with that suit on, but again, hes not actually running like we would be. He is already tapping into something far from “normal” without speed force.
- I explained a little above
- With variables of air, and the actual conduit itself (the man). The electricity coming out may not be as fast as we would assume it to be. But even still, yes, its quite the feat.
- I know right. lol. Although the human body is quite resiliant, a well placed punch from metal boy with enough force should still be shattering bones, and rupturing organs.
- Explained a little above. That flash in general is doing something quite amazing, because even when he is still at times, he can still be outside of everyone elses perception of space/time. Its as if hes stepping out of our “dimension”, and stepping into another that allows him to still interact in our world, but not be within the same “time stream”.
- Yeah, he would have to move pretty fast to do that, to the point that he is moving so fast he is leaving behind an after shadow, or he is jumping between the small frames of time that the eye allows him to jump away and back in without anyone noticing he left.
- I know right. lol
Thats my quick analysis on it. Gotta run real quick
Yeah, you just have to turn off your brain a little bit when it comes to the Flash in any medium. Too many damn variables to explain away otherwise. As long as his powers don’t contradict themselves, all should be fine.
To be fair, you have to do that with anything superhero-related. I mean hell, it’s all science-fiction anyway.
Something they don’t really talk about are the prisoners they hold. How do they eat? Sleep? Go to the bathroom? Heck, even staying in that small room 24/7 is inhumane. They just brush it off as a containment unit and move on. But I doubt Dr. Wells or the other 2 cooks for all the prisoners.
No wonder its taken so long to get a decent Flash series… The fanbase nitpicks the SHIT outta everything.
HAHAHA, its funny you bring that up. Like ever since metal man got locked up, im like wait, where is this nigga taking a shit at. I could see how they could find some way to get food and water in and out, but where is the god damn toilet. lol
I rewatched a few episodes today and the question hit me like a sack of bricks.
It is the biggest amount of logic-leap the show has, not just in terms of science-fiction but common sense in general.
most of the people here didnt follow the flash til super recently. i wouldnt even call it a fanbase.
Talking about a plot hole in their prison set up isn’t nit picking about The Flash as a character, but the show itself. Still, when the show goes out of its way to explain people’s powers and calculate how fast Barry has to run to go up a side of a building, run on water, etc., it leaves the door open to nitpick. Some is justified (like calculating his acceleration to get to mach 1.1 when they emphasize the distance he needs), while others probably not so much (people getting injuries when Flash carries them, as opposed to any other time a superhero saves somebody).
^Exactly, some things like do they feed the prisoners the answer is of course they do, but is it really something we need see?
As for Flash not being caught on CCTV, dude ran into a prison and only did his face blur thing when his dad tried to see his face.
If you want a technical explanation for the Flash, then the answer is that Flash’s main power is not speed, it’s speed force. The speed force being defined as the following: Fuck physics. This is what Barry taps into when he goes fast. The fact that he’s currently going only pitiful speeds measured with “mach something” just goes to show you that he isn’t actually using his real power.
The Flash has no upper speed limit, he is able to go however fast he needs to, all of his limits in the TV show are self imposed because Barry isn’t mentally prepared yet. At full power, the speed force just breaks any rule of physics getting in the way and he goes. That’s why he doesn’t kill everyone on Earth with photons as he speeds by them, that part of physics stops working. The same applies to his body, his body isn’t actually built to handle 0 to ten times light speed any more than any other human, the speed force breaks any rules it has to in that case as well, as the same applies to anyone Flash is carrying (his passengers still feel a lot of the physical forces around them, though, because they aren’t quite as protected as the Flash is).
When Barry outran lightning in the show, you could see the speed force arcing in his eyes. He was going speed force fast and there were no mental barriers.
Wow that metal dude went down like a bitch and yea, he should have blasted the other guys head off with that fist of steel with superhuman strength buff.
Also dat Flash kill scene…
God I love this show.
Here we go! Crossover time!
Man, is now just doing his damndest to get into dat Iris.
EDIT: Sup Ollie
Let’s go!!
Oliver ain’t ready for that Central City rushdown!!
