They didn’t forget. That was the reveal for the characters. The reveal from before the break was just for the audience. The cast still had to catch up.
The team’s reactions were definitely off. Kaitlyn should of been the only one losing it.
Everyone else should of been face palming or throwing their hands up in frustration.

Especially notable when you realize…had Cisco spent ANY amount of actual time with Jay, that secret would’ve been discovered ages ago. Which means Cisco did not spend nearly enough time palling around with him to be so damn horrified.
Tony Todd had several roles on Star Trek. Po Pimpus mentioned one of his smaller roles. His biggest role was playing Worf’s brother Kurn. I remember he played a Hirogen on Voyager too. A lot actors played several roles on Star Trek, they could get away with it since they were usually hidden under Alien makeup. The only reason I noticed Tony Todd so much because his voice is so distinctive.
Than thats poor writing. Well maybe not poor, but we dont give a shit what the characters in a fictional shows reactions are in this context. It seems redundant, as everyone else already knew whatsup. I dont think jays reveal as zoom shouldve been an episode ender.
At the end of episode 16, we reveal jay garrick is zoom. Well, he may not be because of hunter z, or other weird shit you wrote. So basically we revealed to you what you already knew. lol
I’m not saying it’s great writing, but that’s the reason it was done. And this sort of thing happens all the time in shows and movies where the audience has something revealed to them that the characters do not. There’s even a trope on it.
The only issue with it is how it was done in this show as they didn’t give the characters much time on it. It only lasted for one episode and we still don’t know whether it’s actually Jay, Hunter Z or whatever so it was ultimately wasted.
how the fuck did they determine Jay was Zoom just because they both had a degenerative disease? Just because they’re both speedsters? I guess every good show has to have shitty writing at some point.
On another note, any bets on who the man in the Iron Mask is? I’m guessing Ronnie, Ollie, Eddie, or another Jay Garrick

- Yes to the Degenerative Disease. More importantly, a disease that happened to turn a speedster faster than the Flash and give them distinctive Blue Lightning. Too coincidental otherwise, though there’s still the possibility of time travel and the like.
The only real issue is that they thought it was something that needed to be revealed twice and the actual usage of the Internal Reveal was…poor at best because the characters didn’t spend enough time not knowing and they certainly didn’t spend enough time with Jay to earn the betrayal (other than Caitlyn…who was the least affected by it).

Like Cisco or Caitlin were out, they should’ve gotten some kind of security alert on their phones at the least. But somehow Zoom knew their security well enough to bypass it. That alone was enough of a clue to tell Zoom was someone close to Barry.
