Whatever Flash does, it’ll be hard to come back from this. They put too much in the Reverse Flash. Villain be from the future? Check. Mentor be the villain? Check. Villain being able to make copies of himself? Check. Villain impersonating somebody else? Check. So what is a new and clever way to explain Jay, who’s supposed to be a mentor, turns out to be evil, and holding the body of another Jay?
This is a huge ass pull, but may POSSIBLY work: So Earth-2 Flash is Jay, he takes Velocity and becomes evil, turning into Zoom. He goes into Earth-1, finds his double (Hunter Zolomon) and forces/coerces Zolomon to work for him. Zolomon pretends to be Jay but without powers, while the real Jay runs around as Zoom. Sometimes they switch if need be. This explains how Zoom is evil, how Zoom can be holding a dead “Jay”, how the reveal of Zolomon at the park happened (because they planned that interaction), and doesn’t touch time travel/speed clone.
The whole story asspull wouldnt even matter if Barry found his falls for a second instead of crying all day. “Am gonna go and train! chest puft”. 2 Seconds later hes crying to somebody else about being a bitch.

That’s actually a really good point. They put a lot of stock into the Reverse Flash being a monumental villain, which they then called into question the entire time-travel theory when he reappeared this season as a “time remnant” which didn’t make much sense no matter how many times I rewatched it. I truly do wonder where they’re going with this season. I’m hopeful, but I’m worried.
