I would add to that fate guide, that if you are using acn/smn, you won’t be able to properly aoe until you get the bane skill, and then on top of that you have to first bio something, and then hit it with bane, while having a stack of aetherflow, and then you can’t bane again until you have waited 10 secs, but you also can only bane twice every few mins cause aetherflow has a long ass recovery.
So for fate grinding with acn/smn, its basically just stand somewhere, and tab, 1, tab, 1, tab, 1, tab…
Once you have bane, I’d set up the bar to be 1. bio 2. aetherflow 3. bane.
Fate grinding with this class sucks, so glad its my main and I got quests to do.

Nah but Titan yep if you escape just be happy, cause wtf!!! I think a tip is find a group that is farming for titan weapons. If you arent geared up in full DL yet see if they will let you run with them or at least learn the fight which shit is a chore all together. I lucked up said hmmm ill hit a few up and see what they say. The party leader said shit you have a few pieces of DL gear plus the stats on your dark steel chest piece are on par.
So i died hella times cause its a dodge nightmare but my 5th run with them me and the mnk died but they won and the monk got his weapon.
So i mean you only get better running these places over and over.

As for the lasers, just MOVE out of the blue line lol. No real safe place I just stand behind the main boss near the tank, that you won’t accidntally get locked in with the dps who are destroying needles. As for the dps, I just hit then w regen whenever they in out, to ensure they stay near full health.
Now as for Coth comment about ACN not having any AoE, you can do gladiator to flash, and spam flash with ACN.
As you can tell, I am back from vacation and will probably be on tonight after visiting some open houses.

Let me put it this way… I spam flash where I see BLM spamming blizzard or whatever that AoE is. Reason being, if there’s a mofo BLM in that corner, I’m sure there are other tanks and blms spamming AOE as well. I haven’t messed up my ACN yet doing this. BUT I do hate the fact that everything pretty much two hits me in the field as ACN if no protect or stone skin on.
Edit: I did the flash thing as my CNJ and never had any issues. Even if I got first hit.
AK for tomes and potential gear. CM for maximum philo tomes efficiency. Use Philo tomes to buy up your Darklight gear. Start your Relic quest (quest begins in Vesper Bay as a Legendary Weaponsmith something quest) and try to find groups for Chimera/Hydra when you get to those points. Do Ifrit to get his weapon. I wouldn’t recommend Garuda, as a smooth run takes a coordinated group and decent amounts of DPS to kill her before she goes through too many rotations and someone inadvertently gets killed. Feel free to try though if you get your Ifrit weapon, as she’s a lot of fun and it’s good practice.
You’re doing it wrong, I generally get my hp/10 hits before I die, sometimes hp/5 if its aoe’s hitting me.
You should be able to survive a few hits while spamming cure on yourself while someone/pet takes back the aggro, unless you ain’t using sustain, which means your letting your pet die and I’m gonna go call the ASPCA on your shit.
For anyone curious about what the Relic quest entails, IGN has a fairly nice guide detailing each step of the way.

This shit was expensive. For all of that, you need 45 Animal Fats, which cost 125 tomestones of philosophy each. I farmed maybe a third of them and bought the rest with gil at about 40k per fat. Beyond that, the crit materia especially is about 30k for a rank 3 and 10k for a rank 2, the determination materia is similarly around 20k/10k. The first slots are 100% meld, but the 3rd is 35%, 4th is like a 20% chance, and 5th is around 10-13%, so I wasted an additional few hundred thousand in failed materia melds. BUT it’s good as hell and better than all the Darklight by far. Now I get to look forward to replacing it with Allagan and /facepalming lol. But even still it’s comparable with a lot of it, plus I can convert it into materia eventually to get some return on profit. Still gotta work on the last two materia slots on ring, but it’s so damn expensive and crit materia is through the roof.
A couple more tomes for my Relic +1 too! I still haven’t tried Coil yet, but I’m obviously ready gear-wise. (The rest of my slots are Darklight, I took pic before I put on Darklight gloves)
