Nothing more than the game provides in the course of playing to the end. That includes selling credit and incentive chips, gold dust and nuggets, and any Plat Ingnots you get.
That stuff is just to be used for buying things to buff your weapons, but even that is only marginally necessary.
To get the platinum tropy? Several million gil is required.
first off i really regret ever grinding CP instead of gil… i probably got like 10 million + cp over cap while grinding gil to get the final achievements and upgrades and shit.
the last 2 really aren’t that hard, long gui’s are really more about good use of the paradigm switching glitches to refill your ATB for free and maxing out characters happens much faster than you might think.
For that matter, getting 5 Stars on each mission isn’t all that hard and is one of the more challenging/fun things to do post game. I think there were maybe 3-5 that require a ageisol, fortisol, deceptisol blitz and perhaps 2-3 that were either hard enough or too easy such that serious team revision was necessary. The giant Cactaur mission is pure bullshit though. It’s the hardest due to the blood pressure rise you might suffer and die from while playing it for the xNth time.
That bad? Fucking FF8 was a grind on the Cactaurs and the shanking mole rats (can’t remember their names to save my life). Even then they weren’t worth it.
Gigantaur has a move called 10,000 needles. It’s his only move. Guess how much damage it does? He ignores sentinels, can’t be deathed, and staggers at 777%.
The only way to beat and 5 star him is to equip weapons with the “Random Instant Stagger” ability and go to work. Even then, he may just up and kill your leader.
There is a way to beat him with Sazh with alternating flamestrikes and fire casts (I think that’s the actions), where Sazh will continuously back up and out of his range while continuing to hit the Gigantaur.
It’s more infuriating due to the random rather than the straight up difficulty (though, that’s there too).
huh…I think I rather go back when life was simple, I played basketball, delivered newspapers and Emerald and Ruby weapons were the hardest things ever (did get really sad not to see them hanging out after they died, not worth killing them just to have them in the outworld).
Not me. I have a fat 40gb with a replaced 320gb HDD and it’s still running fine.
These people are just the ones who don’t maintain their PS3. I’m assuming the graphics cause a little more strain than usual on the system, and with a dust build and what not, it’ll just shit on it.
