How do I get 6 atb bars?

You get the 5th by leveling up your crystarium and the 6th bar with the ultimate weapoons

Thanks for that, I just completed that mission but I’ll go back for the Crown/Tiara and Bomb Cores.

ok, so i just managed to get my shaolong gui strat down, and 3 kills in i got my first dark matter ^^. all my crystariams are fully upgraded.

party:
vanille - nirvana (from beladona/malboro wand), 3x weirding glyphs and genji gloves
lightning - omega weapon (from lionheart) power gloves, imperial armlet, genji gloves and weirding glyph
fang - lance of kain (from taming pole) 2x power gloves, genji gloves and connesuer catolog

all paradigms are written with this set in mind, so vanille, light, fang.
paradigms:

  1. Sen Sen Sen (starting)
  2. med med med (3x curaja with vanille is god tier)
  3. syn syn sab (fang is the only one in my party with slow, it’s the only enfeeble that i really care about)
  4. rav rav rav
  5. com com com
  6. sab com com

after quake i immediately go to #3 and go for bravara, faithra and protectra on all 3 (sometimes you gotta go to 2 in the middle). once my buffs are on and it’s got slow (if it has slow it prolly allready has imperil, deshell and depro) i hop to 4 using the atb scam to quickly stagger, then i go to 5 and back to 4 using the atb scam 2 times to increase the speed to 999% stagger. at 999% i start to swap between 6 and 5 to do the death glitch while keeping light and fang on the offense. sometimes i’ll have to stop and go to 2 for a bit. anyways so far i have only needed a max of 4 deaths on top of light/fang’s assault to drop these fuckers.

hope this works out for you guys.

edit: ok… so i have farmed up 3 dark matters so far, spent all night killing these fuckers and i gotta admit one habit that they have is just pissing me off. so they only do this when staggered at 999% but… yeah randomly they just decide to go Bay then immediately follow it up with quake before you can even heal due to needing to use a foul liquid first. it’s like instant death whenever they do that, even changing to tortoise for the quake doesn’t keep me alive, and the bay is way to quick to tortoise on reaction.

Does Sahz ever learn Protect? I’ve been really finicky about selecting my party, and that’s the hole in my armor right now.

Fuck Shaolong Guis. Those mother fuckers are hard as shit to kill.

I have a way easier time killing Long Guis than I do Shaolongs. -___-

speaking of those, when I unlock them would I still have access to regular adamantoise? or should I farm all the traps I need before?

When you unlock the Guis, every turtle will turn into a Gui, except for one of them.

He’s a little south of the Mah’Habara entrance in Archylte Steppes.

I suggest trying to farm your traps now if you can efficiently kill the regular ninja turtles, otherwise have fun trying to down Guis w/o a maxed out crystariums.

Wrong Neochu dude. There are 2 Cie’th Stones that require you to kill a Neochu; one is a challenge from Titan the other a mission in Oerba (go to the house that is farthest from Oerba, in it you will find 2 flying enemies and that Cie’th that needs to be Staggered to actually damage it. On the roof of this house is the Neochu you ahve to kill for the Growth Egg).

man i wish i had an easier time killing the long guis, shaolongs are easier for me, plus ive gotten my time to under 3 mins on killing the shao longs without the death trick, anywho, is there an easier way to get money in this game, i tried some trial an error stuff but didnt work out :(, im just thinking that im gonna just repeat mission 63 to get money since im guaranteed 60k and out of curiosity how many hrs did you all put in this game, i have about 94 so far -_-

I think there was a misunderstanding.

I said I had beaten the titan trial neochu. I would like to know what paradigms to use to beat the grow egg neochu.

100+.

Attempting my first Long Gui kill with max Crystarium finally.

I’m gonna try to make the character breakdown later, need to kill this turtle first.

And Shaolong Guis are tricky sometimes so they never fall into easy prey even if one think you got their patterns.

Against mission 55 neochu I used SAB/SEN/SEN with Vanille as Saboteur spamming her death spell and Fang and Snow as tanks.

I wasn’t really prepared to deal with the picochus after killing the neochu though, as I kept having to switch back and forth between an all out offensive Paradigm and a healing one, patiently killing the picochus one by one. It took a while, but I still managed to get 5 stars.

My apologies ^_^;
Well here’s a possible paradigm you could use-
1- Start off the battle with Syn+Sent+Syn; buff yourself up and make sure you used enfire on all your characters.
2- Switch to Com+Sen+Rav; having 2 commandos may not result in the 2 attacking the Neochu. Beat up Neochu til it dies then focus on the little buggers.

If you need to heal use Med+Sen+Med.

This is but a possible strategy to beat it, there are many various ways to beat it but having a Sentinel may be very useful to prevent the gremlins from interrupting your attacks.

For those that want Gil, I would suggest having 3 Collector’s Code and 3 Conseuor’s Code. Go to Edenhall, and fight in the area with the Soldiers and Sacrifices; when fighting the Soldiers equip C. Codes on your 3 characters, when fighting Sacrifices have the Collector’s Code on them (to increase your chances of getting their Perfume Common Drop).
Keep fighting in that area until you have ammased the necessary amount of cash you need.

Damn, killed it on the first try and didn’t last even 6 minutes.

There is definitely a difference with Max Crystarium as before he would spring up 3 times, now just once.

Shaolong Guis are harder still 'cause they are faster with the stomps, can’t knock down the legs with a summon, and they sometimes get berserk with the Ultima spam, and Roar > Stomp/Quake/Ultima combo.

And agreed with Tizoc.

Eden is the best place to earn money consistently. The damn turtles don’t drop the gold nuggets and platinum ingots often enough even with the catalogs.

Does the Adamantoise in Edenhall also change?

Nope that sucker didn’t get hit by the mutation wave.

No.

Adamantoise in Eden stays the same.

So you have 2 Adamantoises total after the switch.

you can still go to eden and own the toise there.

I want to say thanks to everyone who gave me advice on beating chapter 9 boss. After three retries, 14 minutes later I was able to kill him. I totally forgot about those potions that give you hatse, shell, something else. all at once.

I was so happy beating him, I saved the game and cut it off.
