So I’ve just been grinding on that behemoth spot, so what kind of equipment should I be getting?

Also, how the fuck do I evolve my weapons? I’m trying to fuck some shit up.

ok, fuck the adamantoise farm in eden. spent tonight spamming death (good tip btw, didn’t have to spend gil for fortisol). and 4 hours later i have not one platinum ingot or trap to show for it… only income i got is from incentive chips etc.

giving up on that spot and i’m going to spam mission 63, adamantortoise it’s easy enough that i don’t need any -sol’s to kill it and i don’t have to death spam (takes forever) and i am gauranteed 60k per kill. takes longer between kills than eden but i don’t care at this point, i’m taking what will actually freaking drop.

From what I’ve read,

  1. Start off by buying 36 of either Sturdy Bones, Vibrant Ooze, or Barbed Tail. Each adds +14 to multiplier. 36*14=504. Enough to add 300% EXP to any component you add afterwards. Add these to the weapon you want to upgrade.

  2. Find out how much total EXP your weapon of choice needs. EXP needed to fully upgrade a weapon depends on Weapon group - 50 000 EXP (beginner), 450 000 EXP (intermediate) and 1 500 000 (ultimate).

  3. Use either Ultracompact Reactor (40 000 EXP for 50 000 Gil), Particle Accelerator (4 800 EXP for 10 000 Gil), and any of:

  • Supercharger(774 EXP for 1 600 Gil)

  • Turboprop(768 EXP for 1 600 Gil)

  • Super Conductor(400 EXP 840 Gil)

  • Perfect Conductor(751 EXP for 1 600 Gil)

  • Choboham Armor(460 EXP for 1 000 Gil)

  • Tesla Turbine(823 EXP for 1 800 Gil)

In order to get level the weapon up to the highest level. No need to waste Gil on expensive components when you only need 700 EXP.

Scratch that bomb core from the list. Those are easy to farm, mainly from Mission #7: Bitutius.

Spawn location and cie’th stone are conveniently next to each other.

In my opinion:
Lightning: Lionheart - She needs a Str+Mag weapon and this is the best one.
Snow: Power Circle - All Strength. Easy decision.
Fang: Dragoon Lance - All Strength. Easy decision.
Hope: Hawkeye - All Magic. Easy decision.
Sazh: Rigels - Some would argue against it, but I think this is easily the best choice. Stagger Lock isn’t too bad as long as only one character has it, and Sazh needs both stats.
Vanille: Belladonna Wand - I took Pearlwing Staff but in retrospect, I kinda wish I took this instead. Either will do.

4 of the above 6 you should have by now. You get Lightning’s Lionheart early in Chapter 12. Fang’s Dragoon Lance is a bitch to get.

If you follow the above, my advice is to avoid using Light/Fang until you get their endgame weapon, just to avoid wasting upgrades on a weapon that you will replace.

I’m in Jurassic Park right now, chap 11. Thank you for the above post as I’ll use those to upgrade weapons. Any items or accessories should I upgrade too? I’m guess I should complete chap 11 and then start farming in 12?

How do I actually EVOLVE them though? I have two sets of weapons with the star instead of a weapon level. Don’t you have to use some kind of chemical to evolve them? Or am I understanding this incorrectly?

For Lightning’s weapon, Axis is pretty decent, lower stats than others but it charges your ATB bar every time it hits, it is in the same syn group with Aurora scarf/spirit shoes/Hermes Sandals, if you equip 2 of those items it gives +10% ATB rate, 3=15%, 4=20%, 5=30%. With haste your bar charges extremely fast and every time you hit an enemy you gain some ATB bar, it adds up really quick. I suggest test it before you upgrade, see it fits your play style.

Lol. I know it might seem that way, but that’s because I only post when someone says something “wrong.” Nothing is really incorrect if you can do it, but I try and suggest the “best” way. For instance, to get Sprint Shoes, the Chapter 9 (or 10?) boss drops a Crown. Then you are guaranteed another Crown and a Tiara from Chocobo Digging after completing Mission 14. That is the fastest way to get 3 Sprint Shoes. But if you guys do not want my suggestions, then I will stop posting in here.

Replaying the game.

Back at chapter 9 and will resume the last missions when I get to chapter 10.

There was a ranking somewhere with the best damage dealers and details how it works for this game and it goes like this.

  1. Sazh
  2. Snow
  3. Xena
  4. Lightning
  5. Gabrielle
  6. Hope

They even call Sazh the turtle terror, LOL! Sazh Blitz is too powerful. I was surprised about Snow. I knew Snow was a much better commando than Lightning but better than Xena?

You can warp back to Pulse in Chapter 13.

IMO (see that “opinion”)

Lightning: Blazefire Saber - Stats are 100+ higher than the Lionheart. You lose Quick Stagger, but Quick Stagger only fills the last tiny section of the Stagger Bar. Plus, you start with the weapon.

Snow: Power Circle or Paladin - Dependent on if he plays main COM or SEN.

Fang: Dragoon Lance - Str boost.

Hope: Hawkeye - Mag boost.

Sazh: Pleiades Hi-Powers - Highest Str boosting weapon in the game. Works great with COM Blitz.

Vanille: Pearlwing Staff or Belladonna Wand or Healer’s Staff - Dependant on her role in your party. RAV, SAB, or MED respectively.

I’m not certain how Snow could be higher than Fang in damage. Not only does she end up with more STR, from the Crystal, than Snow, but Dragoon Lance gives more STR than Power Circle. Unless they are considering the fact that he is a better RAV.

That’s what I thought as well.

I mean, stats are deceitful somewhat since Sazh does have lower stats than almost everybody on full Crystarium but that doesn’t stop him from being the best damage dealer in the game.

Xena’s strenght stat is the highest of them all and Highwind is powerful and speaks for itself.

Granted, Snow is a better all around character as Xena outside of Commando and maybe Saboteur ain’t that versatile.

And yes, they were talking about the Power Circle but the debate was attack which made me wonder.

Im about to start chapter 11 so what should my game plan be now? Should I farm CP and gil? Can i take on the behemoth? Or should i do missions?

do a few missions rather than grinding for CP IMO. you will get the CP you need just from continuing chapter 11 and fighting every monster in your path. chapter 11 is long.
as for gil, you will get enough in chapter 12 through perfumes, incentive chips, credit chips, etc.

thats just my opinion, tho.
