I find building monsters goes by pretty quick once you memorize where everything is. I literally memorize the location for Chain 2, Role Resonance, ATB 2, Quick Stagger, Resilience +40%, HP 30%, Attack 35%, Magic 35%, Feral II, Resist protect 36 %, resist magic 36%, Stagger Maint 2, Rapid recovery and Siphon boost 2. Plus the hidden skills and that’s basically all you need anyways.
I killed him before he did the stupid fist. I went balls to the wall no healing (well I healed a few times…) just attack attack attack elixir attack attack attack attack. I used Goblin Cheiftan feral link for bravery and protect, I used cloudburst feral link for en lighting.
Yes I did buy Lighting episode but I haven’t started it. Monster building on Snow and the Val whatever his name is…
Okay so Lighting battle it gives you 4 roles (none of the roles can heal) 5 potion and 1 elixir.
Basically you have to win with that, however if you die you can gain XP and level up. You can also adjust your level before battle (if you die). They did so you can challenge yourself.
SYN become available at level 3. (mad props if any of you can beat this mofo at level 1 lol).
Was able to beat him at level 3. (had to play a pretty darn good game. I think you have to play flawless to beat him at level 1, but does seem doable just need a lot of skill and luck).
Beat him at level 6 and he turns into Chaos Bahamut.
You must 5 star the battle to get Lighting (commando) crystal. Level 9 is the prefer level of choice.
Now I just need some god damn power, mana, and vitality crystals to build these three!!! Time to farm!
If you don’t have Commando Lighting it’s a pain in the ass. With her it’s a cake walk since she can deal over 99,999 per hit so he dies before he gets BIONIC FIST.
Valfodr Lvl 99 > Snow > Gilgamesh > the rest of the game. (Of course of you want to get technical Lighting (level 1) vs Caius is probably the most challenging thing in the game.
So I beat bahamut, then I went looking for my sazh and nabaat…when I realized that I was playing on the wrong save. Gonna get armored lightning again, and run light, light, nabaat against snow.
LOl what? I don’t think Amodar has any useful skill.
Just get jeporidze (total of level 99 RAV)
Then pick 7 of these skills 9 skills and you have a Goddess… no literally a fucking beast.
Pack Mentality (You can farm this on Valfodfr (level 70) also optional if you’re not going to use a DLC pack (remember all three must be dlc characters for it to kick in, so yea don’t need it if you’re running only one
Chain bonus II (get it))
HP +30% (Kind of of optional, but I went full Power on my V-Lighting)
Siphon Boost II (get it)
Stagger Maint II (optional)
Quick stagger (optional)
Strength +35% (get it)
Role Resonance (get it)
ATB 2 (get it
Also you can get Snow to “cool down” by going easy on his ass, but I don’t know how that works. So going balls to the way is still the best option imo.
I’ve been trying to farm Nanchou (wanted extra pack mentality) on level 70 Valfodfr but I swear the drop rate is so bull shit. I’ve killed him like 9 times for one nanchou,
On the other hand Twilight Odin drop rate seems pretty decent on level 99 Valfodfr. I tried it just to see and I got another one on first try lol…
Aww man you guys having all the fun w/o me. Im at the end of Max Payne 3 so its like I have to beat it b4 going back to ff13-2. after those repeated Gilga beatdowns then finally beating him I gotta get Snow. Plus armor light is there jees i gotta get to work guess imm have to beat Max Payne later Im at the end back to FF13-2!!!
Does Snow music play any?
Edit: Hell yea it does!! should be playing the whole battle.
You need to stagger Snow, then juggle him (take off at least 50% of his life during the stagger) and finish him from there. Some people stagger Snow multiple times before killing him but I am not as good as some of those GameFaq people. A few of them killed Gilgamesh in 2-3 minutes. I beat Gilgamesh with a lame style of Chichu/Sazh/PuPu. I’m sort of jealous how they can speed run through Gilgamesh and Valfodr. I have to play it lame and take it slow.
Snow’s power up phases happen depending on how long he can attack a single target, What this means is that once he attacks someone, he’s going to stick to them, and the longer he does, the stronger he’ll get. Have a Paradigm with SEN/SEN/SEN ready when you fight him. When he powers up, let someone he isn’t attacking provoke him. When he shifts his focus, he’ll cool down, and you can wreck his shit until he starts powering up too much again. Keep his boosts off in the process and getting five stars on him is a cakewalk if you can’t body him with pure power. Having a high level Omega helps here, too, as it will greatly extend the amount of time he stays airborne for juggles.
